POV: Alka Banicki
_______________
After a long and strenuous trek to find the Hunters of Artemis and their camp, Alka found herself lying in a familiar tent, staring up at the silver lined ceiling and resting her tired limbs.
A few nights ago, she and her fellow sisters that had been residing in Camp Half-Blood had received a surprising Iris Message from Lady Artemis herself, requesting their assistance in a hunt she was planning. The young looking Goddess had been nothing but vague, and hadn't told the girls much about the mission they were about to embark on, only that it was of the utmost importance that they get to the Hunter's camp as quickly as possibl. She had said she preferred to give them more details in person.
The morning after the call, Alka and her sisters had packed their bags and embarked on their journey, following the coordinates Artemis had given them in her message.
Alka considered herself quite a young Huntress, only having been a part of the hunt for 74 years, while other members had been with Lady Artemis for over a hundred. If she hadn't been with her more experienced sisters, Alka may have lost her way to the camp, but thanks to them the group had made it to Artemis' camp easily and in one piece.
Alka peered around her tent, taking in the surroundings of home she hadn't realized she missed so much. Camp Half-Blood gave her a comfortable life, protected by invisible barriers that she didn't have the luxury of while in Artemis' camp, but she never felt more at home than she did when she was surrounded by her fellow maidens.
Alka lifted herself from the sitting position and sat cross-legged on her sleeping bag. She absentmindedly pulled her curly mess of long, tangled brown hair up into a messily done high ponytail to get it all out of her face.
Sebastienne raised his russet head from the foot of her sleeping bag to look at her with curious amber eyes.
The young huntress stood, knowing she should get a move on if she was to meet the other Hunters to have their meeting with Artemis and get their mission from her.
Alka unzipped the tent quickly and stepped outside, greeted by the hustle and bustle of the usual goings on of the Hunters of Artemis. A few girls sat sharpening their silver hunting knives, others applied fletching to the ends of their deadly arrows. A few others were getting ready to go out and set traps for the evenings dinner.
Sebastienne followed Alka at her heels as the daughter of Hecate made her way over to the largest, and easily most extravagant in the camp.
She entered, moving the silver door flap out of her way, greeted by the youthful appearance of Lady Artemis, who sat next to the stag that Alka was used to seeing around her.
Alka gave a respectful bow of her head to the Goddess she hadn't seen in person for quite some time.
"Thank you for coming," Artemis said as she returned Alka's nod lightly.
