Kipp was extremely tired, and he couldn't stop thinking about how wonderful it would feel to just fall into bed and sleep for a year or two. He's drawn from his daydreams of sleep, though, as Jonathan speaks, and his brown eyes spark with interest at the boy's deal. He nods determinedly, tightening his grip on his sword and strengthening his fighting stance. He was determined to deflect the other's blade so he could leave and go to sleep, as he can't imagine going on through the night, or any longer than another thirty minutes.
His eyes narrow with concentration as Jonathan begins to charge him, and he begins to chew his inner cheek nervously. He quickly spins on his feet as he notices the older boy veering to slash at his back, and he swings his own sword to meet the other's.
A satisfying clang rings out when the swords meet, and Kipp quickly leads Jonathan's blade further away from him. "Yes!" he cheers happily, his chest puffing out with pride. He raises his eyes to meet the other demigod's, a wide grin on his face. "Suppose we're all done?" he beams, obviously pleased with himself. He dips his head slightly, realizing he shouldn't be acting so cocky. "Thank you, for the lesson. I think it did some good." he says, his smile strengthening.
