Description: Aethelwyne has medium-length brown hair leaning on the darker side, which tumbles down just past her shoulders in soft, almost-curl waves. Her skin is a warm, bronzed color, and her eyes are a dark, coffee-colored brown. Unlike most nature spirits, her features are rather soft. Standing at 5'2, she's a short girl, and she weighs about 115 pounds. Usually she'd be sporting a sheen of pink lip gloss and some smoky eyeshadow, but Aethelwyne never wears too much, preferring a dash of makeup and leaving the rest to "natural beauty."
When it comes to her wardrobe, Aethelwyne isn't picky, currently hooked on the materials leather and silk tulle. She absolutely adores dresses, and is barely seen without them. When it comes to that type of clothing, however, her style can range from hand-made leather ruched sheath dresses or to designer tulle ball gowns. Her footwear does not-and probably will never, if she has a say in it-include sandals or flip-flops, instead dominated by a vast majority of pumps and flats. Her color scheme is pastel yellow, pink, and blue, but include white, gray, black, and red as well. The only thing she wears when cold are cloaks-she owns three, one white, one gray, and one black.
Having always held a disinterest towards gold, Aethelwyne wears instead sliver or platinum jewelry, either a necklace, bracelet, ring, or pair of earrings-or all of them combined. However, she can be tilted in the direction of wearing dark sunglasses-or the occasional flower crown. Or crown in general. Her walk is quiet, almost noiseless, and her voice has a faint rustle to it, light and breezy. Her expression teeters on the point of startled and intensely boring into you. She wears glasses sometimes to read prayers.
Sexuality: Demisexual
Olympian Parent: N/A
Mortal Parent: [FAMILY]
Odin Xineth, father-Aurai, spirit of the breeze
Liythin Xineth, mother-Litae, spirit of prayer
Personality: Sweet, shy, and gentle, Aethelwyne barely comes off as intimidating. During a first meeting, she's more often then not mischievous, swinging above people's heads on trees and letting her wind rustle the leaves around them. That being said, she's very shy and will run away if spotted, her speed giving you an disadvantage. Don't underestimate her, though. Though many have seen her as an easy target, due to her small stature and youthful look, she has intelligence in spades and the clever wiles to match. The spirit won't hurt you badly, and means no real harm.
Though kind and helpful, the spirit is generally calm, as she has a long fuse. Though she has a habit of not sharing her past-or her name, or age, or anything, really-that's she got her name, as she let people call her Mari instead of her given name. This mysterious vibe she gives off can draw others to her, but she'll brush them off. She desires respect and mutual understanding in a relationship, whether it be platonic or romantic. Also, she depends on the outcome and effect that her actions may give her to motivate her, and will often cautiously weigh the pros and cons of a situation.
When she puts her all into something, Aethelwyne will do whatever it takes to finish. Not a big fan of half-finished projects, she can quickly become short-tempered, easily irritable, and even rude after she feels like an experience was unsatisfactory. However, even when mad she retains her poetic and verbose way of speech, sometimes even slipping into her native tongue, Arabic. Tending to keep things rather neat, it won't be hard to find her in the armory, reorganizing the weapons or in the mess hall stacking perfectly clean plates.
Having a penchant for seeking a thrill, Aethelwyne will often fool you with her innocent demeanor. Her flaw, however, is having an aversion to having bonds, wary to trust after she caught wind of Charlie's plans. Also, the spirit can reappear and disappear at many different times, by slinking into a tree or even traveling away. But, as said, she really is quite innocent, and can be hard to befriend or bond with because of her shyness. However, she has a weakness for beautiful things-or beautiful people.
Her hobbies include climbing trees, and heights. You can often see her waking up at the crack of dawn to scale cabins or trees to watch the sunrise, even if she falls afterwards. Aethelwyne also loves writing, singing, painting, and quite a few other things. Her dislikes, however, include arrogance, insults, and cowardly behavior. Her tells are biting of her lip, looking away, and tapping her leg. The girl finds it hard to lie, however, and hardly ever will. What she enjoys drinking is tea or hot chocolate, usually for regaining her strength after overexerting herself using her abilities.
History: Odin was a breeze spirit, his wind belonging and created in Morocco-which was also known as Chergui. When he bumped into a fleet-footed prayer spirit bearing a message of thought to the gods, he was enchanted by her sweet smile and honeyed words, until she birthed their child-a brown haired daughter, named Aethelwyne. She was their only child, and Liythin was able to slack off her duties without anyone knowing much, raising their daughter.
As she grew up, the spirit was always surrounded by at least one parent, but was rarely allowed to leave the safety of her home, since both of her parents were very protective. But due to her heritage, the half-wind spirit became restless and soon wanted to see the world, getting tired of relaying prayers for the greek gods from nearby people, as there were few. When she turned 113, they finally decided to let her go to Long Island, where Camp Half-Blood was located.
Living in the forest for a bit, Aethelwyne was almost trapped in the forest not long after by the barrier, barely escaping by traveling on her winds. Nowadays, she lives in the shallower part of the forest, seeking life that was spared from the barrier. The spirit also hides among the strawberry fields, and sometimes sleeps there.
Weapons: Two silver knives, taken from the armory. Aethelwyne also owns a pouch of metal spheres (30) which are the size of a marble, and when thrown, they automatically transform into a dart containing a liquid that will paralyze the target for five minutes. Her armor is non-existent, even if she owns two celestial bronze hand fans.
Abilities: Aethelwyne is able to send prayers to the gods directly, has a control over the breeze, and can travel using the wind for about two miles, though it tires her. She also can sense immortal presence, and can send her winds to search out before her. However, some facets of her power may drain her energy severely.
