Full Name: Viola Faith Exley (Typically goes by Vi) ((Twin sister if Odyssia Exley))
Age: 15 (Is actually 36 ~explained in history~)
Description or Playby - Alyson Hannigan
Playby
Viola is 5'8" tall and weighs around 125 lbs. She has a slim figure much like her sister and a muscular body. Her skin is pale, but she has freckles that sometimes show. She has reddish/brown hair that goes down a few inches past her shoulder. She usually likes to keep hers in a bun or simply down in its natural mess. Her eyes are a pale bluish-green with brown around the pupil. She is a natural beauty to most people and for that reason the only makeup she wears is light eyeliner and a light-shaded lipstick. She inherited her nymph beauty from her mother.
Viola is usually spotted wearing simple tee-shirts. More often than not, they are vintage tees. She also likes sporting dark, earthly colored plain tees. When she isn’t wearing those, she’ll wear her camp tee-shirt or some other shirt she has and tie her flannel (which she is usually sporting)around her waist. If its not on her waist, she's wearing it. It gives her warmth, and she loves it. When it comes to pants, sh is wearing either ripped jeans or short shorts. Her go-to shoe wear is her tennis shoes or flip flops. Dyring the fall and winter, she'll mostly wear her flannels or sweaters. She also cuts back on the ripped jeans and settles for regular jeans. With shoes, its most likely boots.
Sexuality: Pan-Demiromantic, Pan-Demisexual
Olympian Parent: Thetis (Nymph- goddess of water)
Mortal Parent: Sheck Exley (Deceased)
Personality: Viola is a very introverted person and likes to keep to herself. She will often make a fool of herself in front of other people. Hence why she doesn’t really talk to others. She doesn’t mind being around people, she just doesn’t like long conversations with them. She loves fighting, and tends to be very overprotective with certain people. She doesn’t really have much of a social life, so she usually gets very nervous when people try to make conversations with her. It’ll either end up in her running away, or muttering non sense. If you do manage to get her to talk to you, don't expect much of a response.
Even though she may seem like somebody took the word sadness and formed it into a human body, Viola is a very happy girl. To those who can get close to her (there aren’t many), she will find herself cracking jokes and simply having a good time with them. Along with her overprotectiveness, she is also very loyal. Much like a dog to a human, she will stick by your side. Her loyalness must be earned however. She won't simply become loyal to you. You'd have to prove to her your worth it in the end. Because when she is loyal, it means she would fight for you at any cost.
Viola is fluent in both Ancient Greek and English. She has both ADHD and dyslexia. She loves 80s and 90s music and is not really a fan of the newer stuff. She is also a very perspretive individual. Often noticing the little things that are sometimes missed. She doesn’t overreact to things at all, but people say she will underreact. Which is very true. It may not look like she cares, but she does. She’s just really good at covering up emotions. She thinks that emotions are a weakness, so she tries not to show them. She hates being lied to so she obviously has a lack of trust in others.
Her fatal flaw would be lack of trust. (I will explain this in her history)
History: Sheck Exley was a well known professional cave diver. He loved diving and revolutionized it by creating multiple inventions for the sport to increase survival. He worked as a mathematics teacher at Suwannee High School in Live Oak, Florida to finance his passion. On one of his recreational dives during a vacation to California in 1978, he came upon a cave and he decided to explore. While in there, he hit his head on small outcrop he didn't see. His vision blurred and and before he blacked out he saw a beautiful woman with pale skin and flowing long black hair. He felt hands around his wrists and he blacked out.
When he came two he was laying on the beach and the lady was kneeling beside him smiling. He quickly thanked her and she kissed him. He was a little dumbfounded but he went with it. They talked after that and he told her all about what he did. She seemed very interested, but revealed little about herself. Later that night they...Got to know each other better.
Que 9 months later, Viola and her sister, Odyssia, were born on July 8th, 1979. Her mother, who turned out to be Thetis, came off and on through her infancy, staying for a few days at a time every few weeks. She would speak to them in Ancient Greek, so Vi and Ody learned to read and write in both Greek and English. Growing up wasn’t that hard. Viola loved reading comic books and listening to Micheal Jackson on her CD player. She loved her dad and her sister, and would honestly say she had the perfect life.
And then 1994 came. Her father was trying to set a diving record in Mexico. He had promised her before he went down that he would come back up. She had been apprehensive, knowing how deep he wanted to go, but nodded. She remembered waiting and waiting for him to come back up. He never did. She watched as her sister burst into tears. Viola simply stood there, muttering ‘You promised’, over and over again. This is where her fatal flaw began to form. Then her mother appeared and tried to comfort them. She saw as tears leaked from her mother’s face as well. She barely paid attention as they were brought to some hotel. Which she would later find out was called the Lotus Hotel and Casino. Thetis told them that she’d be back in 4 weeks.
In those 4 weeks, Vi had an amazing time. There were so many games, and so many movies. She almost forgot about the outside world. Almost. Even with all the amazing movies and songs, she had always felt something off about the hotel, but would shrug it off after a few minutes of pondering about it.
When Thetis came to get them, Viola almost didn’t leave with her. Wanting to go back and stay there forever, But decided following her sister was the better idea. And when she exited the hotel, her jaw dropped. Everything looked so... different. People were talking on little rectangles, there were so many more lights, newer cars and it all looked so futuristic. Which in reality, it was. They were actually in that hotel for 21 years. She found that out when she saw the date posted on a flashing hotel sign. Viola did not adjust to this as quickly as her sister seemed to. This is where her lack of trust really began to set in. Her mom said 4 weeks, not 21 freaking years.
She remembered as her mom took her and Ody to an airport and told them she had to send them to a camp. Now Viola began to panic even more. They were going to be left alone in this new world together? All by themselves? She looked at her sister and back at her mother. She was worried. Way beyond worried. All she had were some comic books, some clothes and a few family photographs. She wasn’t ready. But as her mother handed her their tickets, she also gave them something. For Ody it was a pair of fingerless gloves and Viola was handed two bracelets. She looked at the items before hugging her mother and telling her goodbye, Ody did the same. They got on a plane and while Ody socialized, Viola stared at the little TV that was in the seat in front of her. She slowly slipped on the headphones and used the little remote to scroll through things. She saw TV shows and movies she had never seen before. It was still all too real for her.
When they landed, they got off the plane and began walking out of the gates. Ody kept looking behind them at some weird guy with a limp. Staring at her sister in confusion, she furrowed her brow. She grabbed Ody’s hand and made them speed up. The guy kept following them. She looked at her sister before she ended up pulling her wrist faster and they ended up in a run. They ended up in an empty service tunnel. The guy had followed them. She watched as Ody started to cry and scream at the dude. Protectively, she stood in front of her sister and held her fists up. The dude then explained that he wasn’t a monster, but a friend. He explained how he was sent by their mother to get them to camp. Ody calmed down, but Viola was still erie of the guy. However he did lead them to this camp without harm done to anyone.
Weapons: She wears (This)as armor. She had it constructed by the Hephaestus kids on her one year anniversary and all she has to do is tap a celestial bronze ring twice.
Her two bracelets are the mist form for her two weapons. Her first bracelet is a navy blue and when she taps it, it turns into a battle axe. The blade of the axe is celestial bronze and is dual sided. It is 3 feet long and she has learned to wield it well. The handle of the axe is a very sturdy lightweight iron that is wrapped in leather with a steel hilt. The hilt has a small blue wave on it (The idea of the hilt is based off of Ody’s hilt.)
Her second bracelet is a light sky blue and when she taps it, it becomes a simple spear. It has the magical ability to not break and to return to her however. Very simple magic. The tip is celestial bronze and she usually does not use this as it takes 20-30 minutes for it to return to her.
Abilities: Hydrokinesis: Manipulation and control over water. Viola has the survival aspects of this power and a small amount of water control. The amount of control is not as powerful as a child of Poseidon and they can overtake her control. She got these powers from her mother.
- Able to breath underwater for unlimited amounts of time.
- Water does not harm them in any way. (water pressure, falling into it from great heights, ext)
- Able to create air bubbles for those who cannot breath underwater.
- They can will themselves dry in water.
- Higher resistance to fire and burns.
- Natural detection if water is salt or fresh.
- Able to heal/strengthen themselves with water. (Only to an extent. Cannot heal deathly wounds or broken bones)
- Able to communicate telepathically under water with sea creatures.
- Able to manipulate water into solidified forms.
-Natural survival instincts and reflexes: She inherited her father's unnatural ability to react and survive in dangerous situations. This made her father an excellent cave diver. Most of her ability is contributed to her ADHD though, but there is a slight difference in survival ability than most demigods.
Years at camp: Second
Year-rounder or summer-only camper?: Year Rounder
Age: 15 (Is actually 36 ~explained in history~)
