POV: Trunks Taylor

I had been called to the border to help welcome the new recruit. We were guarding the border to protect from the Nymphs and Satyrs Charlie had messed up. It was really hard to do this considering that most of us had family out there. I promised myself long ago that I would find my mom and dad and make Charlie pay for what he was doing. I constantly had nightmares about the things that my parents were doing. My best friend had been brainwashed by Charlie too. I had heard that some campers had seen him recently. A few rumors had been going around that a kid threw a sword through his arm. I would have to check on him when this was all over....... Well if this would be over. I decided that I would sit on a nearby tree stump as I waited for the new border guard. I closed my eyes as I waited for them to appear.

I saw a Satyr sitting on a trunk. How could he just sit there, I then saw his eyes where closed. Is he asleep? I decided I'd sneak up on him, as much as I could because I always glow... But yeah, great plan right? I made a wide turn around him and walked up to his back. I jumped and yelled 'HEEEY DON'T SLEEP AT Wpfffhahaha' at the end of my last word I bursted out in laughing. The Satyr fell of the trunk, I had managed to sneak up a Satyr. He looked slightly annoyed though he laughed at me. 'Hey, I am Eláfia Féta, Silver deer. Just call me Silver or something.' I helped him up. 'I was told to go here and seek, well I am guessing you?'

I looked up at the new recruit and stared for a little while. No one had told me that the recruit was going to be a nymph. I stood up after falling down, still laughing. I enjoyed a good prank. I got as serious as I could.

"Yes Ma'am. I am Trunks Taylor. Senior Border Guard official. At your service.

I stood at attention and saluted like the army guys do. As I did I poked myself in the eye a little. I turned around and held my eye for a few seconds. Afterwards I faced Silver again with my left eye closed and asked her.

"So You want to join the worlds best.....Errr Camp's best army huh? What are your qualifications?"

'Well, I can shoot arrows pretty well. I mean Apollo kid accurate.' I pulled my bow from my back, once it touched my hand it started to glow silver light. 'Oh and as you can see, I emit silver light.' 'And the normal Nymph qualities.'

I blinked at her a few times and began to pace around her. I was inspecting her like the army generals do. Looking her up and down muttering to myself like I was taking mental notes. I finally approached her getting very close to her face and stared at her with a serious face.

" Alright one final question."

I cracked a smile before I continued to speak.

"You know I was kidding about the qualifications thing right. I am definaty the least qualified individual to be in charge. Hahaha."

When Trunks looked around me I had had the urge to change into a birch tree, but I didn't. He was done and looked me in the eyes, a sparkle in them. After he started laughing. I laughed, of course I had noticed it wasn't any necessary procedure. The sparkling in one's eyes where that way when acting like that. 'Well, leadership comes naturally with one, whereas another has to... ehm earn it.' I grinned, I was definitely liking his personality, so happy even during these recent events. 'So what are we doing?' I asked him, the bead on my diadem shined brightly, a sign that I was having a great time, which I was. I hadn't seen any forest people in a long time.

I walked back over to the tree stump that I was sitting on just a few minutes earlier. I leaned back against a shrub that was growing behind it a put my hands behind my head.

"Well the orders are to look out for anything suspicios and might be Charlie related. But I kind of have a personal agenda. I'm looking for clues."

I took a deep breath before I continued on.

" My parents are missing. And I know Charlie's behind it. And when I find him he's going to pay."

As I said this my nose twitched slightly. Something that tended to happen when I had very emotional feelings

'Hey Trunks, we'll get Charlie!' I sat down next to him. 'My parents where one of the first to be taken, I know how it feels. Trust me there are a lot of Demi-Gods who aid us to find our parents and other relatives back.' Awkward silence followed.

We stood there not speaking for a while. I really appreciated her trying to cheer me up. I stood up and walked over to her and stuck my hand out for her to shake. I had put my joy buzzer on to prank her get even with her for startling earlier and to lighten the mood. I didn't want the rest of the day to go on with us being all bummed out.

This had to be some prank. 'I think it would be wise to not shake your hand Mr.Satyr I know Satyrs do pranks a lot, and I am not falling for this one.' Above all being shocked was dangerous, tree's cannot handle it, I might end up getting sick. 'And you know that Nymphs are not highly shock resistant...' He looked as if he didn't. 'Do you?'

As I said this I put my hand behind my back and removed the joy buzzer.

I shook his hand. 'Don't worry, you seem to be quite a nice guy.' I gave him a friendly smile.
I looked around but nothing seemed to be happening.
'Our occupation is sitting around here? That does not seem useful to me, at all.'
'Well, it is a nice thing to do compared to what I did before.'
I told Trunks about my time alone in the woods, scared of every single sound I heard.
'It is nice being here, border guard doesn't seem that bad at all.'

I told her. That way if she ever needed to find me She would know where I would be.

'Really?' Well Satyrs that do jobs as protectors might like Demi-Gods better. But most Satyrs back before Charlie liked to chase after Nymphs rather than hanging out with Demi-Gods only. Tastes differ, I could understand it though I prefer forest people with the while Charlie thing going on. 'But Trunks, what do we even do here, apart from doing nothing? Haven't you got anything as objective or something?'

I looked at her with my eyes squinted... It was as if she had knew what was going on. Had she been following me around listening to my conversations? I shook the idea out of my head.

"We'll actually I planned on leaving camp soon with a couple of campers and we could kill two birds with one stone. See I know that my parents have to be at Charlie's camp. I was thinking about going over there and getting them back."

I sighed deeply and hung my head down.

"But Chiron won't let me. He says its too dangerous."
