Maria and Percy I Thread Competition

"Woah!" I said to myself. "I didn't realize I was that strong" I thought as I left a big gash in the side of the training dummy and I then looked around with a surprised look on my face, to see if anyone else was there manipulating me or my sword.

"Sure Maria" I said to Maria.
I took a deep breath as I stared at the dizzying heights of the rock climbing wall.
That's alright, don't worry, you've done this tons of times before. I told myself in my head.
"Unfortunately, no. Since we're demigods I guess rock safety isn't the biggest worry for us."
There were a couple of Aphrodite campers actually trying to climb on the rocks, and the rest were stretched out on towels and over the grass, sun tanning or reapplying make up. I stepped towards the foot of the wall and gave her the most reassuring look I could muster, despite being wary myself.
"I'll go now and show you how to climb it." I said to Maria
It was timed. I knew as soon as I stepped up on the wall, lava would be triggered to slowly rise under me. I took a running start and jumped up to the first two familiar hand holds. I could positioned my feet on a couple of familiar footholds, and I was able to jump over the next few hand and footholds. Rocks flew down in a pattern I was familiar with. I twisted and turned.
"The trick is to create the slightest movement when dodging the rocks!" I called out, my eyes fixed on what was in front of me.
If I climbed too far to the left or the right, my whole surroundings changed(credit to gin) and I'd have to readjust to what holds I was going to grapple onto next. I crawled over a particularly mean rock that jutted out of the wall. My upper body strength wasn't that spectacular, but I gave myself a congratulatory pat on the back as I was able to use my arms to lift my body up and over it. I stayed crouched on the rock, wiping the sweat off my brow and taking a quick status update on the lava. I peered down, smiling when I saw it was well behind. I straightened up to hang on to the next handholds until I felt the rock underneath me begin to tip and I began to tilt back. I ran forward, leaning towards the wall to try and reach the holds, but the rock disappeared from underneath me and I began falling. My limbs grazed along the wall and I let out a yell as the dry rocks scraped against my skin. My hands found a hold, and with a harsh pull on my arms, I was able to dangle. My legs swung around in search of a foothold and as soon as I found it, I kept climbing up.
"Don't look down." I whispered myself in short breathes. "Whatever you do, don't look down."
I reached for another handhold and it immediately buckled under my weight and fell off the wall, making sure to hit me in the head before I watched it fall into the lava-which was a good five feet below me.
"Okay cool, look down." I told myself.
I twisted up, my muscles sore and my arms and knees bleeding from deep scrapes.
"This isn't usually this hard!" I called out. I raced up as soon as I remembered my surroundings again, and what foothold was where, and most importantly, which ones were loose or not. I was on a good streak until I completely forgot about the falling rocks. I was in the middle of switch hand holds, my arm outstretched, when a rock the size of my head flew down and hit the hand I had been holding on to the only hold with. when suddenly another rock fell and I was able to jump onto and bounce off the wall and I landed on the rock. I then started doing that again and again as more rocks fell down, as if out of sheer luck. I then grasped a foot and handhold and clambered to the top of the climbing wall. I then shouted down to Maria "And that, Maria, is how to do it!" I then channelled the water from the river to help me get down to Maria again.

My jaw dropped "You have got to be kidding me!" I said "Don't you know that Demigod children of Poseidon aren't good at archery?" I asked her. I then said "I would need a Tyche child to help me just to hit the target!"

I notched an arrow in the bow and fired it. It missed. I then turned to Maria and said "See I told you, it would miss."

"Try again Percy!" She said, so I said "Fine " I then notched another arrow in the bow and I then said "Watch this one it will also miss, I bet you a drachma it will!" "Okay" She said, I then fired it and started to say "See I told yo--" My jaw dropped. It had got the dead center of the target. Maria then piped up and said "Where's that drachma then, Percy?" and I then grumbled "Oh yeah, here."

I then thought for a few seconds and then I asked "You're not really an Athena child, are you Maria?"
