She nodded as she walked with Justin towards what he had called the Hermes cabin, and as she walked her surroundings started to take on a different meaning. So, demigods were real. That was pretty exciting. But that also meant that monsters were real too; maybe that’s why most of the kids she’d passed had weapons and why there were a lot of combat sports taking place. The whole idea was incredibly romantic to her, and her train of thought very conveniently passed by the whole idea that there were probably more dangers in the world than she had previously realized. But her thoughts were happy thoughts and would continue to be such, at least for the present.

But yes, Justin had just told her about demigods. The way he looked at her as he answered her question gave her the idea that apparently that was a term that was well-known around here. Also, apparently she was supposed to be claimed. What did that mean? She continued striding down the path with her head held high and kept her eyes open for anything else she could gather around this place. She’d have a lot to learn, and her next comment was about to show that. Her knowledge of Greek mythology was pitifully limited, so the first thing that popped into her mind when he mentioned Hermes was the luxury scarf store. She tilted her head to the side and glanced over at him, a curious grin on her face, “So, is there a Tiffany’s cabin too?”

He would look at her as he opens the door to the Hermes cabin. "Who's Tiffany?" He would ask her as he looks at her.

He would then sit on his bed motioning her to come sit by him. "This is the amazing Hermes cabin!" He would say with sarcasm. He would look at her as he says this. "What do you think?

She smiled at him softly; it was perfectly alright if he didn’t know what Tiffany’s was. She wasn’t that big on name brands either. Cabins surrounded them in a U-shape, and after playing a guessing game with herself as to which one Hermes was, Justin led her to the door. Apparently this was not the famous luxury scarf-making Hermes she was referencing; even the oldest store wouldn’t be caught closed down with wood that worn. She paused in front of the cabin, her eyes outlining every feature of the building. She probably would have stayed longer, but she realized Justin had just opened the door for her and it would have been terribly rude to leave him standing there. Once again, she nodded at appreciatively when he opened the door. “How gentlemanly,” she noted with a faint smile.

Adora ducked slightly and stepped through the doorway, the immediate stuffiness of the room contrasting with the clear bright air they were just walking in. She’d noted the sarcasm in Justin’s tone and immediately understood why he was being sarcastic. I mean, she’d just seen a cabin that was made out of gold! Yeah, this one wasn’t very amazing. It was a bit disorganized, messy and didn’t have the freshest smell in the world, but it seemed familiar to her. Though she liked being clean, she wasn’t the most organized person herself, so she felt a bit at home here. “It seems like an actual log cabin.” She remarked after a moment of observation, not really knowing how else she felt about it. “Is this where everyone new stays?” She asked as she strolled around the room. She would have sat next to him, and she didn’t want to seem rude, but she really wanted to explore more.

He would watch her look around the cabin. Then he would pause a moment before he spoke. "This is for the unclaimed and for the Hermes children", It's also for children who's parents don't have a cabin which is just like mine". "My dad don't have a cabin but I hope one day he does".

He would look at her wondering what she's doing. "This is where you gonna stay until your claimed". He didn't wanna sound mean when he says this. "That's if you do get claimed". "Some Gods/Goddesses doesn't even claim there own children it's crazy". He would look at her again smiling. "Hey in the little bit wanna do something or like do something fun"? He would studder alittle bit, being a little scared of rejection.

Her fingers brushed over one of the wooden drawers, wiping away a thin film of dust. “So… ” she drawled, half in thought, “Some kids live their lives never knowing who their parent is?” A frown curled the corner of her lip at the thought. That didn’t seem very honorable to her. If someone was the child of a god they should at least know whose child they are. Did the gods just forget about their children? Was that what it meant to be unclaimed? She had no idea what this whole claiming thing was about, but she was starting to pick up on some things and these things didn’t appeal to her very much. Laid-back as she was, she hated how the carelessness of one could affect others who depended, or at least, looked up to them.

But that wasn’t a positive thought and Adora was determined to be encouraging. “So you’re Dad’s already claimed you, then?” She asked as she tentatively opened a random drawer, letting out a frightened squeak when a green blur popped out at her. It landed next to her and she was about to scream at the snake-like form, but in a split second she realized it was merely a spring with green cloth taped over it, meant to resemble a snake. “I hope they build a cabin for your father soon. This place seems booby-trapped!” She joked as she put the ‘snake’ away with an uneasy laugh.

When he’d asked if she wanted to do something fun, she turned away from her explorations to look over at him. She noted his stutter and secretly wondered to herself if she was making him feel nervous. That was the last thing she wanted to do; she really did like him and she hoped they could become friends. She still had so many questions she wanted to ask him about his history and himself. She cast him an easy smile as she placed her duffle bag on the floor in an empty space. “I’m always up for something fun.” She giggled childishly and looked over to him with a quiet excitement in her eyes, “There seems to be a lot of fun things to do around here. What would you like to do?”

He would look at her smiling when she asked if his father claimed him. "Yea my dad claimed me". He looked at her smiling. "You will know when you get claimed". He opened his hand letting a little wind swirl spin out of his hand. "I could make it bigger but it can be dangerous". "My dad is also the god of spring,but I don't any powers with spring to the best of my ability".

He would smile at her again looking at how pretty she is. He would then ask her a question. "Hey we can go to the beach and watch the sun set". "That's if you want too". He would look at her smiling waiting for her to reply.

"I'd think it's cool too." She responded, turning her attention back to the sunset. The sun sank slowly in the sky and began to alter the colors around them, and as it did she became lost in her thoughts. She wanted to know what he meant about the border. How come no one but demigods could pass it? That was curious to her, but even more exciting was what he'd probably meant by bringing it up. So she was a demigod. Really? That was really the case? She raised her eyebrows and smiled partially as she thought about it. This was far to good to be true. This was a dream; she knew that now. But she'd deal with that when she woke up. For now it would be best just to enjoy it all.

She turned to him with a curious expression, "Curfew?" Then after a moment of thought she let out a soft chuckle. She probably ought to have known; of course they'd have a curfew. This was a camp after all. However, that was just a rule and what was her first thought about breaking silly rules on the first day of camp? Fun! She probably would have stayed, but then she realized that Justin was new here too, and if they did stay they'd probably both be reprimanded or... whatever the punishment was for staying outside past hours. She shrugged softly and looked his way, "Perhaps we ought to head back. It wouldn't be good if we got caught breaking rules on the first day, now would it?" She asked, a soft smile playing on her lips.

He would walk right beside Adora while exiting the beach. "So, do you have an idea who your godly parent might be"? He would as her as he walks with her heading towards the cabin. He would kinda of notice that he himself ws starting to build a little crush on her. He would not let that show just yet though. He would smile once more. "How long do you plan on staying here at Camp?" He would ask this as they approach the cabin.

He would grab hold of the door opening it for her. He would pass threw it right behind her following her into the cabin. " I don't mind breaking rules". He would say with a smirk on his face. "It's not like there gonna kick is out though". He thought about the punishments as he was about the speak. "But they can make us clean the poop filled Pegasus stable". He would begin to laugh at this statement as he takes at seat on his bed. He would motion her to sit by him. He would look at her as he waits for her thoughts on what he has said.

She walked along the path with her eyes fixed on the stars, their light reflecting faintly in her irises, “I wish I could have an idea, but I don’t really know any of the gods. My mother…” she clasped her hands in front of her and glanced down at them, “She never wanted me to read Greek mythology. She always said that it would fill my mind with dangerous things, and so I never did. Maybe once I do a bit more studying...“
She cast him a faint smile, the corners of her eyes crinkling, “Who do you think I’d be a daughter of? You seem like a son of a wind god.” She asked, casting him a silly grin. Even though she was pretty good at reading people, she didn’t really notice his feelings towards her change. She just thought that this was the start of a good friendship.
She returned his smile and continued walking along, “I don’t quite know how long I’m going to stay here. I’d want to stay here as long as I can, but then there’s my mother… I’d hate to leave her on her own for so long, even if she did send me here.” She had mixed feelings about the whole situation, but with a shake of her head she dismissed them. Now wasn’t the time to dwell on such things.
She thanked him for opening the door, and stepped gently through the doorway before suddenly stopping in her tracks. Sleeping campers. They were surrounded by sleeping campers and some kids who were all hunched around a phone screen that was playing a video of a squirrel spinning gleefully on a bird feeder. Seeing the two approach, the campers stifled their giggles and kept their eyes glued on the screen, soon laughing as they had before.
She shrugged softly, carefully stepping over legs and arms, “Well, some rules are there for a reason. It’s just those really unreasonable one that, I suppose, could be bent from time to time.” She giggled slightly at his comment, “But then again, perhaps we really ought to follow all the rules here. After all, I suppose that is a punishment worse than being kicked out!” She giggled softly, sure to keep her voice low, and then she brushed away some hair from her face as her laughs died down.
For a moment she debated on sitting next to him. Sure, there wasn’t anything wrong with it, but it was late and she didn’t want anyone to get the wrong idea. And after all, she needed to find out where she was going to sleep and, wait… did someone go through her bag?
Her eyebrows furrowed slightly, “Could you excuse me a second, Justin?” She quietly trailed away towards her bag and upon reaching it she knelt down and shuffled through her things, noting what was out of place… or missing. Aw man, did someone really have to take her drawing pad?
