Sparring and Meeting New People

"Oh, gods."Gwendolyn hissed, clutching her side. That hurt badly, and she instinctively hunched over, trying to relive the pain. Where did Lucille get that power? Whatever. Her sword was instinctively raised, and she grabbed her knife, fingering the metal in an attempt to think of something. New game plan. Lucille was obviously getting into her normal tactics, understanding her way of thinking. That meant that a new approach was obviously needed. Prying Lucille's ax out of the pole, she casually lifted it and threw it into the stands behind her. That was one problem solved.

The other...Well, she was hoping Lucille was good at hand-to-hand combat and types of fighting that required tons of strength, since her plan depended on it partially. The buckler was Lucille's defense, and whatever she found was her weapon now. Simple, but slightly more complicated than one would think. Tearing off her armor from her legs-she needed that, dammit-she used it as a shield, then attacked in front of Lucille, quickly drawing out slashes and stabs with her thin, strong blade. Hopefully the new approach would surprise Lucille enough to get a good blow in. Gritting her teeth and ignoring the pain from her side, Gwendolyn tried for a kick at the nose, still wearing the armor around her foot but not her upper leg.
