(no problem! :3)
I grinned at Morgan, always making good impressions on people in weird ways. I remembered the first time I had met her, she had saved both Luke and I from one of the first insane Nymphs, who was stuck in her angry tree. We had been struggling to control some vines, and she had come in there muttering some crazy ancient greek to calm the tree down.
"So what brings you here, Fletchy?" She asked.
"Giving Harlie the tour around camp," I answered, puffing my chest out because I felt important. Morgan smirked at me and punched my chest with the side of her fist lightheartedly, but just hard enough for all of the air to escape my mouth.
"I'd be careful, Harlie. This guy's a doofus," Morgan said. I grinned back at her, knowing basically everything that came out of Morgans mouth was a joke.
"You're gonna ruin my reputation," I complained in an over-exaggeratedly sad tone.
"Please," Morgan said with a scoff. "Your reputation IS doofus." She punched me lightly in the arm, this time lighter than before.
"Gotta get back to painting," she said. "I'll see you guys around."
"Seeya, Morgan," I said with a wave as she turned.
We left the Arts and Crafts center to continue to walk to the Volleyball courts. It was a nice day out, as it always was at camp, so i knew there would be SOMEONE at the Volleyball courts. I knew a lot of my cabin mates liked to go there. We tended to like sports. I started to try and think of something to ask Harlie. One thing that stuck out of my mind that I wanted to ask her since I had met her, was how she got here so easily. I hoped that wouldn't make her uncomfortable to answer.
"Hey, so, when you came here, you came here super clean... Not that that's a bad thing or anything, it's just, usually campers are chased by bloodthirsty monsters, we're almost always beaten up in the process of getting here. How'd you just stroll through?" I had only ever seen it happen a couple times, it was still a pretty rare thing. Part of me put it on her Olympian parent. Maybe she was a child of a more minor god and monsters didn't catch her scent so easily. Or maybe there just wasn't many monsters out that day. Maybe Deans cabin in the forest smelling strongly of cigarettes and human was enough to put off monsters from attacking demigods at the border.
