This is a nice change of pace (Closed))

"Hey," I said and saw the book, "what are you reading?" I looked saddened by the book. I had seen him reading it many times, over and over again, which is a sign of depression. I didn't want him to be depressed.

"I don't need anything, but a fight. I have been bored lately, I haven't been on a quest, and I've been here for 8 years! I need to fight someone or something. I want to battle Charlie and his army, oddly enough," I said, I probably sounded crazy. I don't know why he would care, but I felt I needed to tell him.

I laughed, "A monster, or Charlie. I don't want anybody to get hurt, that wouldn't be good, especially if we need to fight anything later. So, who exactly are you? I'm Ashley, daughter of Aphrodite. I am 15 years old and I have charmspeak." I said. I out away my sword and sat down.

I nodded approvingly, "So, a son of Ares reading a book about art?" I said. Most of the children of Ares were always, lifting weights or chopping attack dummies heads off. To be honest, I didn't know if they could read. I could tell Jonathan was different, because he has read this book a lot. I could tell he was bluffing when he said that charmspeak doesn't work on him. I played along with it because, I didn't care, it wasn't like I was going to use it on him or anything, well maybe to make him ask me out. He was pretty handsome, if I do say so myself, I pushed that thought away for now. I only just met the guy.

I laughed, "Great!" I said, "Oh yeah, I meant to ask, is your girlfriend okay with us doing this?" I knew he didn't have a girlfriend, I was hinting that he was different, and I liked that. he seemed cool. Children of Aphrodite seem to know how to guys to like them, I guess. I liked sports and stuff like that, but I stay true to my Aphrodite side, especially around cute guys.

I didn't hesitate and kissed him. nothing mattered. Charlie didn't matter, nothing. When we stopped I smiled and whispered, "Nice job." Everyone in the crowd cheered and we both cheered. Once everyone cleared out I said, "So, do you have a girlfriend?"

I smiled, "Okay!" I followed him. I was one of the only children of Aphrodite that hadn't been in a relationship. It was so embarrassing, some of the 13 and 14- year- olds were dating, and I was 15 years-old and I hadn't even dated. We'll, I was turning 16 in 1 month. I was just happy that I had a boyfriend and a monster to fight.
