Not as bad as you think

I awoke in the infirmary, with a couple of Apollo children standing over me. I decided not to look down at my ankle in fear that there would be blood. I didn't do very well with blood. I looked over at Tyler and John. THey were talking about leaving and coming back later today which I didn't mind because they wouldn't be able to do anything anyways, the children of Apollo would probably push them away if they tried to come near me. But I also wouldn't mind them staying. I didn't know any of the Apollo kids, and it was always nice to have some friends around. I tried to sit up, but one of the 'doctors' pushed me back down. "Hey." I said to Tyler and John, hoping that they had heard me. MY voice was small and weak. The pain had really taken the energy out of me.

(Sorry about the late response, I have Camp. Also, would they have crutches at CHB or no?

OOC: Well if you put it that way i GUESS they would.

Tyler had nodded agreement with John about going back, although he did feel a bit bad about leaving the girl. Then she stirred. "Looks like she's waking up," Tyler told John while walking closer to the girl on the cot. "Hey, How do you feel?" Tyler asked her then added, "Well, besides in pain. That's kinda obviously," he joked giving her a small smile.

"Crutches can't be THAT bad can they?" I asked, gazing curiously at the crutches. "Well, about me falling," I said, but I hesitated. Telling the truth would make Tyler feel terrible, and I hate to see people sad. "I guess I was going so fast that I lost my footing." I was glad I lied, making someone feel bad was not something that would make my day any better. "You guys don't have to stay." I said, looking up at them both. They were so strong and brave while I was weak and helpless.

"I could stay here for a little while longer". I smiled and said "I was planning on doing some sword fighting with Tommy but I can't seem to find him anywhere". I sat down in a nearby chair next to the bed, then I looked at Tyler and said "You know what i'm gonna do what about you".

Tyler leaned up against the wall, shaking his head at the mention of Tommy. Tommy was one of his best friends but it wouldn't surprise Tyler in the least if Tommy made plans and than changed his mind and went to do something else. Hell, the last time Tyler saw Tommy was on Pegasus far above camp.

"I'll take Tommy's place if you don't mind," Tyler said to John. Technically, Tyler didn't get a chance to go up the climbing wall and he missed his usual training session. He wouldn't mind getting in the extra practice today, and the kids of Ares always seem to put up a good show.

With a slight frown, Tyler turned his attention back to Taylor. He still felt like they were ditching her and he didn't like that, "If you want you can hobble along with us and watch....?" He suggested trying not to leave the girl out of all discussions.

"Sure I'll come!" I said, glad that they weren't going to ditch me. I hobbled over the crutches that were leaning against the wall. My hands gripped the hand part, holding my body up. I walked around the room, attempting to get use to them, which didn't take very long considering it only took about ten seconds. I went over to where John and Tyler where standing. "Ready to go?" I asked. While they were dueling, I had decided that I was going to a practice my skills as well. I was going to be on crutches for weeks and I wasn't going to have everyone doing my bidding for me.
