Not as bad as you think

Tyler nodded glad to finally leave the room. He had to run back to the wall retrieve his swords,so he gave John and Taylor a thumb salute and told them, "I'll meet you guys there," before heading to the lava spewing wall. On the way he try to recall every fact that he knew about John. Besides being a son of Ares, who were all formidable fighters, his Sarah had mention something about rhythm fighting? Or something like that. He wasn't entirely sure what that meant,it would definitely be a new style to him, one that he would have to adjust to if he had any hope of winning this. With a sigh he walked to the arena where he found he was the first there, not surprising if John and Taylor walked together. They would of been slowed down quite a bit by her injuries. Tyler still felt a little guilty about it, but it was nothing swinging his swords wouldn't fix. Leaning against the wall in the entrance hall, Tyler waited for them to meet up with him

As we're walking to the Arena I thought of everything I knew about Tyler's fighting style. One thing I knew for sure is that he was good with a sword, I mean better than most people even Ares campers. He was up there with some of the veteran sword fighters. I mumbled to myself "Well it's a good thing that I leveled the playing field before we left". I looked over at Taylor and said "You sure you're up to this".

Tyler nodded at Taylor, acknowledging what she said. It was good that she was going to try to keep training, despite her injury. Most people would of used the injury as an excuse to get out of training and other activities. He actually admired her willpower a little, because he wasn't entirely sure what he would do if his ankle was broken. Probably use it as an excuse to get out of homework.

Turning his attention back to Johnathan, Tyler withdrew both of his blades, not taking any chances against the child of Ares. Tyler may be a great swordsman, but that doesn't he's never lost before. Eliza won out by snagging his feet with roots, and eventually wearing him out. Alyssa won by nearly drowning him. He learn things from both of those fights that will probably help him now. From his spar with Eliza, he learned to even out his weight, always keeping his balance shifting so that he could not so easily tripped up. What he learned from Alyssa was not piss off his girlfriend.

Leading with his saw-back machete, Vengeance, Tyler sat back into a traditional dual handed duelists pose. His longer blade, Justice, was held above his head, pointing at John, as Tyler waited for him to make the first move.

"Ready when you are, man."

I in amazement as johnathon was coated in armor. "Cool." I said, looking at his armor. It really was cool. I listened to John and Tyler talk to each other. It was too bad that Tyler wasn't wearing armor, john could TOTALLY use that to his advantage. I looked over at Tyler and laughed. He was in some kind of battle pose, but to me it honestly just make him look like a dork. "You look like a ballerina!" I laughed, still high above the ground.

I let the first couple hits land on me. They didn't hurt and felt like getting poked with a stick. I backed up and put away Odyssey. I laughed and said "I tell you what I will give you a better chance of winning by not even using a weapon". I then got into my hand to hand CQC stance and said "Come and get me".
