Some Father I Got (Lucy)

Lucy didn't go to Lunch because she rather catch her own food in a typical huntress fashion. So Lucy decided to go to the lake to go fishing. Of course she was fishing with her bow so there see was standing in the middle of the lake with her bow out and she noticed someone on the beach. With some more study after seeing how the kid practiced sword play Lucy was pretty confident it was Jonathan. She witness him dunk his head in the water. He didn't seem to notice her standing several feet away in the lake. Then again who stands in the middle of the lake during lunch. So in a true Lucy fashion she shot an arrow at him it landed right next to his head. As it was underwater Lucy's goal was to scare the shit out of him.
"HEY JONNY" Lucy yell as she started walking towards him. She was hoping to get on his nerves as much as possible.

"Hahaha" Lucy laughed Sarcastically at Jonathan's witty joke. However she did take satisfaction in how she made him scramble for cover. Curious of what Jonathan had to ask her she walked in the water over to him. Once she was on the beach she noticed that the bottom of her dress was wet. Lucy sat on a nearby stump and laced her shoes up that were previously hanging around het neck. And wringing out the bottom of her simple silver dress. Then she said very simply "well you would be wise to seek me out for guidance I am 425 years old... don't let that go to your head yes I understand im old. But I will be 15 forever I can say that much."

Lucy was pretty shocked that Jonathan was asking her deep personal questions. Lucy knew she wasn't easy to be approached that way infact she like that she was that way. Lucy looked at Jonathan something definitely seemed to be troubling him. And even though Lucy yelled and fought with Jonathan she didn't hate him. So Lucy decided that she would share some personal information with him just to help him out.
"Yes I have met Artemis" Lucy laughed at the silly question but it was a gentle laugh not her usually mocking one. Lucy had to think a little about Jonathan's second question before answering him. "Yes I... yes she has. But they have always been good for me later after I originally disagree... but it always has worked out for me. Its like... this is hard to explain but... she is a goddess and... she is my patron goddess... so she knows me and she cares for me. Like any parent. For example I initially didn't want to be here at this camp, and she sent me here to make friends and stop being a hermit. And well... even though I still rather not be here. Its been working out for me... and she, like always, was right." Lucy said explaining what life was like for her and how Artemis knew the solution even if Lucy didn't want to agree with her on it.
Lucy then started thinking about why Jonathan asked her that question. And for a moment they sat there quietly.
Lucy knew that having Ares as a father must be a little difficult for Jonathan. Always looking for approvle trying to make his father proud. I mean Lucy knew that Ares wasn't really the daddy type of guy. So to put Jonathan at ease she said softly almost a whisper "Every parent has a different way of showing there love. But they do love you and that's what matters" she then looked at Jonathan to see how he was taking her advice.

"Considering we are not the best of friends no you did not. But I'm sure it is a wonderful story. And you feel better telling me then go ahead." Lucy said kindly. "But if you don't mind I am going to lay in the sunlight. Lucy said getting up from the stump and laying on the grass in a nearby clearing. She looked up at the sky and saw the clouds over head and saw some geese flying over head. She turned her head to look at the grass and the small flowers. Nature is beautiful she thought to herself before giving Jonathan her attention again.

Lucy was listening very intently hearing Jonathan's story and the huntress he saved. She started to wonder who I could have been and if Lucy knew her. She must have been new or not very good at fighting if she couldn't take care of herself. But Lucy then reminded herself not to think that way she could have been in trouble for any number of reasons. And even though Lucy seemed like she could handle any monster that came her way she knew that one day there would be one not even she could handle by herself.
Jonathan was in the middle of telling even all of a sudden his body seemed to tense up and then he told Lucy to get her bow out. Lucy was initially skeptical and didn't understand but then the hairs on the back of her neck stood up and she felt a presence.
She then quick stood up and had her bow out in one swift movement "I sense it too" she said fast and quietly. She then moved to Jonathan's backside so they were covering each others backs. Lucy was scanning the woods when she some movement but couldn't quite make out what it was. "Left... no right... is there two of them? Possibly." Lucy had a quick discussion with herself out loud.

"Pshh and let you have all the glory? In your dreams kid." Lucy said with a wild smile. This would be a piece of cake fighting a hydra was easy if you followed the rules. Rule number one never cut off one of its heads. She thought as she shot an arrow through one of its eyes. Rule number two dodge acid spray. "MOVE" Lucy screamed as she jump and tumbled left to dodge the spray. And Rule Number three stay alert and out of its reach. Lucy shot a few more arrows into the hydra's hide. Before checking to see how Jonathan was doing.

Jonathan looked like he was having a hard time keeping up but he was fighting close quarters and I wasn't like he could just cut of their heads. But Lucy couldn't watch Jonathan any longer because she was fighting 7 pretty pissed off heads. She dodge some acid by jumping closer to the hydra and landing on her knees, not the smartest idea but she recovered fast. As soon as she landed in front of the hydra she arched her back and released a firebomb arrow at one of the heads. The recoil of the hydra bought her just enough time to slide under the hydra. Lucy had her hunting knives out and was carving the underbelly of the hydra then she popped out the other side and threw one of her knifes in its back.
Then Jonathan was knocked back but he got right back up and seemed not to be hurt. Then for a little bit they began making progress on the hydra and it was significantly damaged. However the tables turned when another player joined and attacked Jonathan leaving the hydra to Lucy to hold off. Even though Lucy had killed many many hydras in her day, infact a hydra was the first monster she ever killed, this one was proving more challenging than some others. However Lucy was not stupid so instead of attacking a ten headed hydra head on Lucy played the defensive. Lucy continued to dodge, tumble, and flip out of the way just leading the hydra around the clearing shooting more arrows in the chinks of the armored hydra. When she got a second Lucy checked her supplies she was missing one hunting knife the one in the hydra's back still, she was running low on arrows, and she had a full belt of throwing knives. Lucy was about to take the fight with the hydra into the woods so she would have more cover.
When all if a sudden the guy that was fighting Jonathan had a chain around Lucy's neck. Lucy growled and spat insults at the guy but he only pull the chain and tighten it around her neck. She was grabbing at the chain trying to pull it away from her neck so she could get air, but the thing was crushing her windpipe. Lucy the quickly reached for her throwing knives and. chucked every single one at the man in the cloak but to no avail. He only deflected them with his sword moving faster then any human Lucy had seen. He then yanked her toward them hard and Lucy was on her knees inbetween the to of them. Lucy was trying desperately to get air or call for help anything she knew that Jonathan couldn't possibly kill the hydra this man and save her all at once. He was going to have to make a choice and so was Lucy she could almost hear the God Janus laugh at her. "Don't...give... this punk... anything... if I die... I died bravely" Lucy managed to choke put in a very scratchy voice. She looked up at Jonathan and you could tell from her eyes she didn't want to die just yet.
