The want for something more (Paused?!)

((Hi there! I saw that you didn't have any replies and you have such a cool set of characters so I hope it's okay if I bump this thread! <3 I hope you don't mind me butting in, but if you do just send me a message! <3))

What a strange day! Adora thought to herself as she slipped on her jacket. She’d spent the whole day studying about Greek mythology and she really hadn’t gotten much out it. She still didn’t know the difference between Demeter and Dionysus, and she REALLY didn’t want Mr. D. lecturing her for asking if he could show her how to grow flowers again. He probably could have grown flowers if he wanted too. Meanie. Adora was so confused, about everything really, so she thought a nice run around the camp might help clear her mind. Little did she realize that three minutes into her run she couldn’t feel her cheeks, and it felt like the water in her eyes had started to freeze. She decided it best to walk instead. Adora really shouldn’t have liked the cold so much, or the winter, but for some strange reason she did. There was nothing more comforting to her than a brisk day in the bright sun or a cold night by a crackling fire.


And speaking of fire, she caught sight of one flickering in the distance in the ampitheather. She headed towards it, but immediately seeing someone there, and a boy for that matter, she instinctively turned around and began to walk in the other direction. You haven’t been around people for the majority of your life, but that doesn’t mean you have to continue being that way. It wouldn’t hurt to try and make friends. A voice said in her head, and she realized the logic of it. She stopped walking and then turned around, heading towards the boy with a friendly smile and a small wave, “Hello.” She greeted, getting a closer look at him by the light of the fire. The first thing she noticed was his scar. Seeing it, she grew a bit quieter, simply because of the fact that she wasn’t used to meeting people with scars, but soon she carried on as normal, curiously trying to piece together any sort of information she could gain about him. She smiled at him gently and gestured to the fire, “Would you mind some company?” She asked.

The sudden arrival of the two or um... Three? Other campers took James by surprise. "O-Oh. Um, sure... You can join. The fire is for everyone to enjoy." He tried his best to say something. He peeked over. Although his gaze seemed like a glare he actually began to examine the other campers. Almost how an introvert would when new company arrives.

The environment seemed to almost warm up abit. The company was nice. Still rather stiff James tried to relax. Just knowing they where there made a small smile on his face. It was almost like the gods felt his loneliness and made some company present to him.

OOC: Thank you very much! Also I apologize for my absence. Life has a way of keeping me away from things but I'm glad I was able to get the time to come back. Oh!! I don't mind having you guys here. Its an open RP. I was hoping for a reply XD

"hi James, nice to meet you, you to Adora." I get even happier as I hear her questions concerning Beta. "yeah he is, it's a, funny? Depends on how you look at it. Anyways its a story." I said as I sat down and Beta hopped next to me, placing his head on my lap. I never really told alot of people this, but since I can't lie, here we go. "So I was raised in this orphanage and one day I ran away. I ended up in the woods, and Beta here ended up giving me these." I say as I point at the scars of the claw marks on my face. Beta makes a noise. "I've long forgiven him for it, he was just scared. Or his program was malfunctioning. The Hephaestus children use him as testing automaton for the new updates they make, so he stays up to date and stuff. Yeah I'm glad he attacked my face. Else I'd probably not have made it here in one piece" I grinned.
