This thread is older than Zeus' beard, but this part bothers me a lot.
These would be better* definitions:

Transgender — Not implying any certain sexuality, as it actually applies to a person’s gender identity. Those who are Transgender simply do not identify as their gender assigned at birth. There are also those who are genderqueer. For example, a transgender male (assigned as female at birth) may identify as male, and usually chooses to act like one, dress like one. They often change their name, and respond to he/him/his or they/them/their, rather than she/hers. This is the same for trans women, except, you know, vice versa. Some transgender people choose not to go through gender reassignment surgeries or hormone replacement therapy. Reasons for this could be that some are too young for them, are unable to afford them, or simply do not want them. This does not hold true for everyone, however, as there are some who identify as transgender, but still act/respond/etc. corresponding to the gender they were assigned at birth.

Transsexual** — 1: The same as a transgender person, except they have or are planning to medically transition. 2: A binary transgender person (those who are Female-to-Male or Male-to-Female).

Genderqueer — An umbrella term for gender identities identities of those who feel they are neither female nor male or both. There are fluid identities which means someone's gender identity isn't always the same, this can be that one day someone identifies as a man, but as a woman the day after (this is a simplified example). There are also genderqueer identities which are not fluid who don't identify as male or female and whose identity never fluctuates. They may prefer other pronouns then he/him/his or she/her/her, this could be they/them/their or less commonly used pronouns such as ze/zir or they prefer the avoidance of pronouns. They may medically transition and change their names as well, but like other transgender identities, they may not.
