(hello! In case you were unaware, this is the thread in which my beloved beautiful baby Alyssa, daughter of Athena, dies. This probably sounds really cringey, but this thread may express some of the feelings i've had a lot recently. Feel free to join in C: )
Alyssa hadn't been happy lately.
At first there had been reasons to make her unhappy, with different problems and struggles being thrown at her during every turn of life, and it was harder than anyone could possibly imagine to get over some of said issues. Her only true escape was sleep, an abyss of blackness and no thoughts worrying her mind. Isn't there some way to end this? she asked herself. It was a labryinth of suffering, to put it 'poetically', you could say- no matter how you tried to escape it, it pulled you back in.
Once she was able to remove some of the sometimes lethal thoughts or desires from her train of thoughts, she still was not quite the same. She had not many reasons to be unhappy now; as she had a place to sleep, food and drink, entertainment, friends. But every moment she spent not sleeping was miserable, wondering what ifs and whys and why nots. She wore a fake smile & attitude daily now. She had considered herself to be decent at acting, being able to control nearly anything /but/ her feelings. Her soft, pale skin dulled to a rough grayish, similar as her blue eyes to gray. She was changed, and there was no way out.
On a particular chilly morning of April, wearing only a gray shirt, blue jeans, and a thin sweater, she stepped out of the Athena cabin unnoticed, able to see her breath in the spring morning air.
She didn't know where she was going or why she was doing so, but she was running now, tired of being trapped.
A stream of tears ran down her cheeks and fell off her jaw, hearing only her sobs and the chirps of early morning birds.
She reached the forest, her face in a contortion of fear, anger, frustration, and mourning of what never would be.
She ran and she did not stop, waiting for nothing behind her.
