POV: Ody Exley

I breathed in deeply as I laid there on the beach, with locks of my reddish-brown hair in my face. As I listened to the soft lapping of the waves against the shoreline, I could feel the cool water touch my pale skin, strengthening me from within. The sound of campers having fun canoeing and swimming made me smile. The ocean is beautiful and should be enjoyed by everyone. However, it does have a dark side and can be unforgiving.

Dark thoughts began to flash into my mind, ones of monsters coming forth from the ocean and storming Camp Half-Blood. Then I saw images of a dark temple at the bottom of the sea, wreathed in death: carcasses of once vibrant sea creatures now desecrated around the monument.

I inhaled sharply and sat up with silent ferocity that raged in my eyes. Vi? I thought to my twin sister using telepathy, a gift of our twin birth. It was just as easy as talking face to face, but even more so for me because of my....issues. We could even do so over long distances. Where are you? I asked with a little uneasiness, maybe even fear. Come to the beach, quick.

Viola Exley

Viola sat reading a book. She was in the Hermes cabin at her bunk, simply flipping through the pages of It by Stephen King. She had been having a nice day so far. She trained by herself for a few hours, went to see the pegasi and did it all without contact from another demigod. So when she suddenly got a thought that was not her own telling her to come to the beach, her ears pricked up and she shut her book. She knew it was Ody communicating with her. So she put her shoes on, grabbed her bracelets and went out the cabin door. She looked around, trying to find the quickest and least crowded way to the beach. Setting her eyes on one, she speed walked to said location.

Upon arrival, she tapped her blue bracelet and twirled the ax in her hand. Odys’ voice sounded scared and urgent, so Violas' protective instinct took control. She looked around for her sibling. After a minute, she set eyes on her. Well it was a figure and Viola was going to assume it was her. So she once again speed walked over to the figure. As she got closer, her sisters features confirmed that the figure was indeed Ody. She quickened her pace and in a matter of a few minutes, she was a few feet away from the other Exley. She took a glance around. There didn't seem to be any signs of danger. Spinning her ax again, it morphed back into its bracelet form. She then approached her sister.

"Ody, you sounded like you were afraid. But there isn't anything around us. What gives?" Viola asked as she mimicked Odys' stance and looked onto the lake. Just the presence of being near water gave Viola chills. She loved it. There was a slight wind, so the scent of the water engulfed her senses as well. She watched as demigods raced canoes and and simply having fun in the water. She then turned her head towards Ody once more. The other girl had corrupted her thoughts, telling her to come here. But why? She saw nothing that could harm them. She nudged her sister with her shoulder, a sign to get the girl to talk.

I was nudged out of my trance on the water by words and...well a nudge. "Oh, yah... there is nothing there," I said with voice that was struggling to hide anger. "Yet..." I knelt down to the water and placed my hand in the slowly lapping waves. I could feel something out of place if I really focused, but then it quickly disappeared....almost like it was being covered up. "I think I was half asleep or something, but when I was I saw monsters storming the beach...then I saw some sort of temple underwater..." I said, my emotions switching suddenly from anger to deep sadness. Tears began to streak down my face as I finished what I was saying. "..and there were dead sea creatures all around the temple.

I looked up with my tear streaked face and asked, "Who would do such a thing?" I then looked back at the water. I began to silently shake with sobs, but my emotions had other plans and violently sprang into anger again. I jumped to my feet and twisted my belt buckle, transforming my clothes into my armor. On instinct I also swiped inwards on both my gloved hands, my sword appearing in my left and a slim shield on my right. "I'LL KILL THEM!" I yelled in anger as I dove into the water, not knowing where to head, hoping Vi would follow.

Vi rolled her eyes at her sister. And they say she worries too much. But nevertheless, she listened to her sister's story about seeing monsters emerging from the water. And then the comment about the dead sea creatures all around a temple of sorts. She felt a shiver go down her back as Ody cried out to her asking who would do something like that.

"Oh Ody, I don't know..." She tried to comfort her other half, but was interrupted as said person suddenly broke out all of her battle gear. She screamed about killing them and then dove into the cold waters. Sighing, Viola knew she would have to follow. She tapped her ring and felt her armor quickly shelter her body parts.

"Why can't I simply have a day where I don't have to dive to the bottom of a lake and possibly have to battle off some random fucking thing. I'm to damn protective, Odyssia would be dead if I never followed her into the havoc I do." Viola mumbled to herself before also taking a dive into the water.

She remained breathing and swam with strong strokes. She managed to catch up to Ody due to her controlling the water a bit to make her zoom a bit faster. She then went into regular strokes and was finally swimming beside her sister. She began to wonder where the Hades they were going, so she turned to her sister and raised an eyebrow in the girls direction.
