After Ceaser showed me a little bit around the camp I talked to Chiron. My mouth actually dropped when I first saw him. He was part horse and port human. He chuckled as if he'd seen the same shocked reaction tons of times in the past. He began to explain to me about Camp Half Blood and what it was. I was still confused about everything, but the more I learned the more excitement mixed with fear I felt. Everything about this place seemed so different and life changing. Chiron told me about how the Greek gods still survive through western civilization. I find it hard to believe, but after what I've seen today I don't really know what to think. Then he took me to the Hermes cabin and told me this is where I'd stay until I was claimed. I also learned that claiming meant that your godly parent would tell you if you were there child. I felt some excitement knowing who my mom would actually be, but at the same time angry. How could she leave me to be miserable and never check on me throughout my whole childhood. I pushed that thought aside once I walked in to the Hermes cabin and waved Chiron goodbye.
The Hermes cabin had to have been one of the most unimpressive cabins I've saw. The paint was chipped and it looked overall beat up. Chiron told me that because of all the visitors the Hermes cabin has it's gotten a little beat down over the years. When I walked inside I noticed how it was pretty messy. It was packed with campers who all looked at me as I walked in. I could feel my face turning red. I hated when people stared at me, especially this many people. "Uh, hi..." I said quietly. Someone showed me where I can put my stuff and where I can sleep. I thanked her and sat down.
