I wake up in the hunters cabin Caty and I spent the night in. 'Good morning sleepyhead!' Caty stood in front of me. Her brown wavy hair in a messy braid over her shoulder. It looked messy due to her huge amount of hair. She wore a orange tank top with the letters CHB on them, decorated with leaves and branches. She wore her usual long brown pants. I wondered why she always wore those, even now in mid-summer. 'Good morning.' I jawed, girl it's not even morning. I looked outside and it was getting lighter, though the sun wasn't there yet. I got out and went to the other room to dress up, while Caty got breakfast ready. I dressed up in my favourite denim dress, bound the purple cord around my waist and brushed my hair, put it in a high ponytail, because it kept blowing in my face. Very annoying...
When I came back, Caty gave me a handful of grapes and an sandwich. My favourite with salmon and lettuce. She had made two for lunch. 'Thanks a lot Caty.' We walked out after I stuffed the sandwiches in my backpack and ate my grapes. While eating my sandwich we talked. 'So Caty, tell me, where are we going again?' Caty just looked at the ground. 'Don't worry Ren, please just trust me I'll tell you.' I trusted her, I did but this was getting weird. But I just kept quiet. We talked about the things we'd done together so far. Then after what I estimated was an hour, I thought of the first time we met. 'Caty.... what was that thing on that rooftop the first time we met?' Caty froze.
'What is wrong Caty?' I looked around. 'Sssst!' Caty sniffed the air. 'Oke Ren, do not freakout, just stay completely still.' She whispered. I froze. She mouthed the words 'Stay still' Caty began to run towards me and pushed me over as a big dark shape sprung over me. She kicked her legs upwards. The black shape snarled, and dissolved into ashes. 'What was that?!' 'Ok, Ren what I am going to do now might freak you out, but it'll explain.' Caty began to put off her shoes, then her pants! 'What are you doing?!' My mouth fell open as she revealed her hoofs and furry legs. 'Girl you need to shave, your legs look like a goat's!' I said flabbergasted. 'To be precise, they ARE a goat's' Caty put her pants and shoes in her backpack. 'I am a Satyr, half goat, half human.'
I pulled up an eyebrow. 'I am here to protect you' she continued. 'Against the monsters you attract, that one' she pointed to the pile of ashes. 'Was a hellhound, the same creature as we met on that rooftop.' I couldn't quite read her expression.' 'So Caty, you are basically telling me you are some mythological creature?' 'Yes, Ren I am.' As we walked on to the place we were going, apparently this place called Camp Half-Blood, the only save place for Demi-Gods. Caty told me she sensed that I was not any regular Demi-God.
After two hours we were so close we were bound to be attacked very soon. Caty told me that if anything were to happen I had to click the friendship-bracelet she'd given me. It would protect me. And the lighting bolt necklace, which she had bought at this museum about electricity would help me as well. About that necklace, I'd never seen it, and I adore looking for souvenirs. It hadn't bothered me, but now it did begin to feel different. She told me anyway, I'd have to run over that hill. And get trough the gates. Do not come back to save me, Caty had insisted.
We came close enough to see the hill when it happened. In a flash an ugly looking bat-like creature with leathery wings appeared. Caty drew a dagger and began to stab the creature, she called it something like a Fury. 'RUN REN, JUST RUN I'LL BE THERE GO!'
I couldn't move, I was frozen to the floor. This was a really annoying thing about me, if something happened I'd panic and freeze. I woke up when the creature made a duck dive at me. I yelled. Something weird happened. As Caty told me I clicked the bracelet and my necklace. Next second I was holding a sword, its metal shining in the sunlight, my shield was as big as a car tire, though surprisingly light weight. I'd never handled a sword before, but I just slashed at the creature and once Caty shouted that I had to run I did.
My sword turned back to the original necklace, I held my shield above my head and ran as fast as I could. While Caty distracted the Fury. I yelled for help as I ran. I made it to the top of the hill, I saw the gateway. In Ancient Greek it read:'Welcome to Camp Half-Blood.' So one of my parents is a God and I get chased by monsters, my best friend is a goat down her waist and I can read Ancient Greek, just my luck.' I ran down the hill and almost made it when I heard Caty yell in extreme pain.
I looked over my shoulder and could just see her tell me to run. Then she was gone, only a really pretty flower left, hatred for the creature ran trough me, though Caty told me to go. I did so as last honour to her I ran fighting back tears. I fell, in the mud, great that makes my day even better. But I managed to reach the gate. I arrived, scratches covered my body and I was muddy as well. I hoped I would not get bullied for my appearance here. I saw someone running towards me. If it was help, it was to late, Caty was a flower.
((OOC Hope a Fury is an alright monster, first one I thought of))
