Light steps carried the young girl up to the border of the camp, eyes settling on the words. Thoughts rushed through her head, anxiety clamped her throat and she found herself unable to breath. Thoughts of 'what if' filled her eyes with tears. She might never see her family again, but perhaps her brother would join her at camp.

Why can't I move...

Still standing in front of the border, feet unable to carry her forward, she just stared. Soft winds caressed her curled hair, only to be patted back down by her hand. Letting the cold air fill her lungs, she closed her eyes and took a slow step forward, ending with the crunch of a dead leaf beneath her foot.

She was in.

Pov: Max Valentine

Max woke up with a startle, partly because he was in a tree and he almost fell out. He quickly caught himself and re-adjusted himself into a comfortable position.
"The things I do for some sleep." Max grumbled as he rubbed his nose bandage.
After a few... well accidents, Max's nose has bled more times then he can count. He can't exactly help it though, being a son of Hypnos, the god of sleep. He just kind of passes out when walking and face plants into whatever is in front of him, this time it was a rock.
Max rubbed some pine needles out of his curly blonde hair and off of the shoulders of his white dress shirt and stood up. He just seemed to notice the girl standing under him. What he didn't notice was the coffee cup still on his jeans where he had left it. The cup went rolling off of his leg and off of the branch, and Max lunged for it. He managed to catch the cup, but he was now falling ten feet down. Max landed into the bushes right next to the stranger.
"Shit." was all he could groan out as he tried to stand.

Two Characters:
(Main) Max Valentine (Hypnos): A wannabe insomniac who drinks coffee more than he breathes.
(Secondary) Carmine Ombra (Hades): A fifteen year old eight year old who is just so excited to be here.
(Tertiary) Kenneth Turner (Vulcan): A Roman with glasses who loves to work around flames, but hates to work around lightning.

Agatha was sitting on the hill, her sister Martha next to her. Agatha saw the boy in the tree and the new comer, but she wasn't really processing the information until the girl stepped through the border. Instantly, Agatha was on her feet, a bow in her hand and a quiver on her back.

Agatha didn't have any intent on using it, but one can never be to safe. Agatha was just about to move closer when she saw the boy tumble out of the tree, almost landing on the new girl. Agatha sighed, and walked over to them like an amused mother. "Um..You okay?" Agatha asked the boy. He just fell out of a tree. Why would he be?

A boy... Milocross liked boys. It seemed like they were the only people she could talk to without wanting to rip their throats out. She thought too soon, as a girl came up with him.

"Uhm..." she didn't know what to say. She'd be able to start a conversation fine if it were just the boy, but oh well. Life isn't fair. She decided to try anyways.

Bending down with her knees, she pushed her long brown hair behind her ear. The fullness and the curls seemed to match each other perfectly. This pleased her as she thought about it, keeping her hand placed on the side of her hair to show her face. Smiling to show her dazzling white teeth, she held out her other hand to the boy that had fallen out of the tree.

"Are you okay? I can help you if you're hurt."

"Just peachy." Max said in a tired/raspy voice.
He coughed and took the girl's extended hand. She looked about his age, kind of attractive in the 'I will end you' kind of way. Max rubbed the spot where his back had met the ground and yawned. He scanned the ground through tired eyes for his coffee and found it half empty next to broken twigs and leaves where Max had landed. He picked up the cup.
Well, coffee is coffee.
Max sipped the remnants of his coffee and folded up the cup to shove into his back pocket.
"By the way, name's Max. How did you get h-"
Max stopped himself mid sentence when he saw Agatha coming up towards them. Her again. The hunter had a thing for boys, and it wasn't a good thing. Max looked back at the girl and continued.
"How did you get here? And can you see anything behind me?" Max waved his hands in the general direction of the lake and cabins stretched out across the forest.

Agatha looked at Max like he had tentacles growing out of his ear. "Um, Hello? Shes already gone throught the border." Agatha said. "Stupid Head." She muttered under her breath, really hoping that they hadn't heard what she had said. Agatha sifted her eyes to the girl, looking her up and down, but not in the creepy perveted way. Good recruit. She'll have to try to convince her t join the Huntresses later.

Milocross rolled her eyes as the girl spoke. She was being nothing but rude to someone who had only fallen out of a tree. Leaning towards the boy slightly, she looked at him with dazzling eyes.
"Why wouldn't I see it? Are mortals not able to see this camp?"

She already knew the answer to this, but she enjoyed the company, and hoped she would be able to spend more time with him. Well, at least until she found a cuter boy. He wasn't so bad though, better than the boys she knew back at home.

"So... How long have you been here? If you know the place pretty well then maybe you could give me a tour..."

Max quickly stopped waving his hands. This must of been one of the more informed demigods, the ones who already know and accept the entire idea of 'living with the Gods.' He adjusted his shirt and rubbed the side of his head. "Anywho, the name is Max, and I've been here for about three years. We call this place Camp Half-Blood. I'm also horrible on tours, I have a habit of... falling asleep often." Max rubbed his nose before he finished the sentence. "And to answer the mortal question, yes. Since you know about mortals, have you already accepted our lord and savior Zeus Al-" Max was elbowed in the gut by Agatha. He put his hands on his ribs and chuckled, "Just kidding, but do you know who your parent is? The, uh, godly one?"

Milocross smiled and giggled at the girl who elbowed him, in a way so innocent that it was bound to bother her.

"Oh he's not bothering me at all, I'm used to the attention.

She spoke kindly, as she didn't pose much of a threat, especially with the way she spoke to the boy. Turning back towards Max, she let her smile disappear into a neutral expression.
"Nice to meet you, Max. Three years is quite a while."
She wasn't as comfortable sharing her godly parent, but it would be rude not to tell him. "My mother is Erida."

Max twirled some his blonde girls, picking out more pieces of dirt and pine needles.
"Well my dad is Hypnos, the sleep guy."
Max yawned and rubbed his eyes, as if saying the name made him tired. He tried to stay awake, but with his coffee gone he was going to shut down later.
"Well, I told you my name so you should tell me yours, it's only fair, and oh, this is Agatha. She's a huntress." Max said as he began to lean against a tree.

Ignoring Agathas introduction, she leaned next to him and smiled again.
"Hypnos eh? That explains why you seem so sleepy."

A huntress... No wonder she was rude to Max. At least she wasn't a threat at all, since she didn't seem to be interested in men at all. More for Milo.
