~Eliza Harriet~

Eliza glanced behind her. The camps border shimmered as she went through. Yes, she knew she would get into huge trouble if she were caught. But she had to. Of course she wasn't leaving for good, just a week. She cracked her neck. She twisted the small button on her glove and out popped her daggers. She smiled as she twirled them inbetween her fingers. She had gotten better at handling them, training almost everyday with them. She adjusted her backpack straps. It was filled with clothing, a small jar of nectar and ambrosia, a wallet filled with money and drachma. Quite a bit. And her trusty trowel and some shower needs. She looked at the camp one more time before she began to sprint. She loved the feeling as her feet claid in sneakers hit the ground. She kept running and running. Why you ask? Well, Eliza's father passed many months ago, she wanted to head a bit out of the city. That's where their old house was. She needed to grab some things from the house. Also some of her dad's other gardening journals and her other clothes.

~ 2 Hours Later~

Eliza had stopped at a pizza place. She had been running, walking and avoiding pickpockets for a bit now. She had never really liked the city. It just never felt natural to her. She knew part of the reason now was that her mother is Demeter. Eliza needs an open area that is peaceful yet busy. But New York? How about just busy and busier. She sighed as she bit into her pizza. She looked out the window. There was a massive crowd heading towards a large building. Eliza furrowed her brow. It could be just a crowd, or it could be something huge. Like a demigod used their power for the first time. Either way, she got up and left the money on the table. She quickly grabbed her things and ran outside.

She followed the crowd, casually. Well, what she thought was casually. Which was awkwardly walking next to someone. She glanced up to see the dazzling lights and signs. She recognized a few. Such as Wicked and Chicago. Actually it's funny with Wicked. Elphaba and Glinda are/were both demigods. Don't ask her to go into it. The Dionysus kids tried to explain it to her. They somewhat failed. So anyway, as the crowd departed, Eliza saw huge banners and such hanging around a building. The name 'Penelope Barnes' on both of them. She let out a small gasp. She quickly walked closer to the building. She wondered if she could go in...

"Ma'am. Please step into line." Eliza heard a thick and deep voice say. She gulped as she turned to see a bodyguard. "Ah- Of course..." She said quietly before walking to wherever the line ended.

Penelope practically had meet and greets down to a science. All you had to do was smile, say thanks for being here, and sign something. It took practically no brain power and left her mind with just enough left over to day dream about her times back at Camp Half Blood. She missed that place a lot, the people in it, and she would never admit, but she missed those few and far between chances of seeing Tommy walking across the training grounds or just coming out of the dining hall. That's what she gets for never really dating and then getting a crush on the cutest player at Camp Halfblood.

The thought of him messed up her routine and she accidentally signed this dudes arm. A look of embarrassment flashed over her face, but the guy didn't seem like he actually cared. He was staring intently at her, almost like he wanted to say something. Before she could even apologize, the guy pulled a celestial bronze dagger out from his shirt and held it up against one of her body guard's throat.

"Come with me child of Apollo and no one gets hurt."

Penelope sat there in awe. Wasn't she just daydreaming about something like this happening? Her moment to shine and kick some butt? This seemed wrong though, he wasn't a monster, she couldn't just make him turn into dust.

"Who are you?"

"Sebastian, child of Hermes at your service. Now come with me, and no one gets hurt."

As if to emphasize his point, he dug the dagger into her guard's throat a little, letting a thin trickle of blood run down his body. Mass hysteria was going on all around them, people were screaming trying to get out of here, her other body guard pretty much ditched her and was busy trying to escape with the rest of the crowd. This was not the place to start a fight, she needed to go to a more secluded spot...meaning she had to go with him.

"Fine, let's go."

Sebastian reached out his hand for Penelope to help her up, but she wasn't having any of that. Putting on the most regal face she could muster, Penelope slowly stood up and began to walk towards the door. But in the stereo typical, you're the hostage and i'm the kidnapper, Sebastian let go of the body guard who collapsed to the ground, and put the knife up to Penelope's throat.

"No big ideas."

Afraid to even gulp, Penelope began to walk with Sebastian out the back door.

    The cold touch of the blade sent shivers down her spine, it took all she could do not to react to it and pull away. Any kind of movement that wasn't carefully planned could end up in a brawl, and she wasn't too sure that she could win. Actually she was pretty sure that she would lose, she was dressed nor equipped for a battle. Her clothes would end up making her trip and other than her nails, she had nothing to attack the boy with. Biting her lip, Penelope kept moving along with the boy.

    As they moved along the alleyway that the exit led to, she felt his grip on her loosen; the weapon wasn't so tight against her throat. Finally she could let out a gulp, and for some reason that was a huge stress reliever. Enough that she could actually talk to him and see what was going on.

"Where are you taking me?"

"Back to my place."

    "Which is?" Penelope left a steely edge come into her voice. She wanted answers, and she wanted them know. Turns out that wasn't such a good idea. Adjusting his grip of the dagger, he pushed up close to her throat again. 

    "Don't you get that tone of voice with me. You are mine now." With each word his face came closer and closer to her ear, until she could feel his nasty lips against it. She didn't know which was worse, the cold of the blade or the heat coming from his nasty breath.  She had to get away from this creep.

    Not wanting to give off any suspicion, Penelope kept her body stiff while she glanced around for anything that could be a weapon, but there was literally nothing but rocks on the ground. Frustrated, Penelope lightly kicked a rock; not enough to give herself away but just enough to let out a little steam. That's when it hit her, well not literally, but the rock, if she aimed it right maybe she could hit Sebastian with it and maybe get away. It wasn't the best plan, but it was all she had. 


    Sending up a silent prayer to her dad for some godly accuracy, Penelope kicked with all her might at the rock willing it to ricochet off a wall and hit Sebastian upside the face. Her dad had some other ideas though, it did ricochet, it did hit Sebastian, but it hit a way more sensitive area than what she intended, but it still got the job done. While he was bending over from not only the shock of being hit but the pain, he managed to cut Penelope on the cheek. That wasn't enough to stop her though, with her adrenaline pumping, she kicked at him and without checking to see if she got any real damage in there she hiked up her dress and turned the other way.


    Sebastian apparently didn't understand her plan and wasn't following along with the script. Even though he had to be in some type of pain cause not only did he get hit in the no no, but he also just got a kick to the head with a heel, he still managed to ignore that pain enough to quickly grab her and pull her into the ground. Not knowing what else to do, Penelope shrieked and started thrashing around, hoping to get a good blow in so that she could get away.

Everything happened so fast. One moment she was struggling to get away from this crazed lunatic and the next thing she knew, he was off of her and there was this girl helping her up. Taking in a deep breath, Penelope was about to thank the girl when..Eliza?...started going on about how they are family in some way..which mean..No..NO..she could not be related to Tommy, they kissed..NO!

With her mind so caught up into that, Penelope momentarily forgot what the mission at hand was. Yeah, bad timing, because like everything else today going all fast motion, Sebastian cut himself out of the vines and glared at the girls. If only Penelope had a weapon she wouldn't feel so weak and could probably give a pretty mean look back, but right now she felt defenseless and was relying on the new girl to protect her. Yep, that's all Penelope is good for..singing a song and being a damnsel in distress.
