A Rose is the Flower of Love (Pierce)

Eliza saw as a few roses popped up. She shrugged and assumed it was her reaction whenever she sees a child of Aphrodite. She smiled at him and gave a slight nod. She then cocked her eyebrow. It was actually really funny as he tried complimenting her. Pierce had a face of embarrassment. So she decided to cut in. She bit back a small laugh.

"Thank you Pierce. You look as great as any other day as well." She told him with a smile.

Eliza watched him blush. He was looking at her flowers. She looked down at them as well. A few more of the roses popped up. Pierces face went into one of confusion. Eliza would've been confused, but she thinks she figured that part out. She quickly laughed as she made the flowers go back into the ground.

"Sorry about that. They're always popping up. I guess it was roses because there's a handsome son of Aphrodite in my presence." She said. She laughed a bit afterwards. "It may be my mothers realm, but it's your mothers symbol." Eliza said.

Eliza held her hand to her face to hold back. She felt her face heat up. A few more flowers popped up. She looked at her feet. She scratched her head. It had never been this awkward with her and a boy. Wait. Yes it has. Its always awkward when Eliza's involved. She kicked off her tennis shoes. She didn't know why. It was a quick motion, she had mastered it when she wanted to run straight into the mess hall, to avoid dirtying the floors any further. She let out a breathy chuckle.

"Why thank you for the compliment. Or the flowers. Or maybe you were talking of the ground. The ground is beautiful and I have no clue what I'm saying, I'm so awkward." Eliza rambled on. She began fiddling with her hair. Then she nodded slowly.

"So. What brings you here on this fine day that Apollo's chariot provides for us." She said with a cheeky smile. Much awkward.

Eliza nodded at his comment. She had hoped that Charlie's followers would have died down, but she thought wrong. She heard that the nymphs and satyrs were once great friends of children of Demeter, so she wanted it to go back to that so she could become like best friends with one. She perked up at Pierce's next comment. She hadn't really been doing anything. Just a fun little activity, which had been watching grass grow. She loved the exhilaration of it.

"Why I'd love to! To go with you that is. Not not go with you. I wouldn't love that. Wait, that sounds weird. What I'm trying to say is, yes." She said as she began to blush. Smooth awkwardness Eliza... She thought to herself. She then glanced upwards. "Where do you wanna hang?" She said with a smile.

(Oh man congrats, working on those college stuff is really important!!)

Eliza nodded her head in agreement. She loved the lake, especially in the summer when she could swim in it. She took a few strides down the hill, following close behind Pierce. She had put her shoes back on as not wanting to get frost bite on her toes. That would hurt. It was like Khione punishing them for not wearing shoes. She was a good person. Sometimes.

"I love the lake, its always been one of my favorite spots. The forest is on there as well. I just find the calm water so rom- Rocking! Yeah the water is so rocking" Eliza said with a nervous laugh. She felt as a few flowers popped up showing her nervousness. She offered a smile to Pierce. They were walking side by side at the moment.

Eliza let a blush cover her face. She gently nudged Pierce back. She looked away with a smile as she did so. Gods, Aphrodite is just really focused on me right now. I bet she's up there laughing at our awkwardness. She thought when she looked away. She laughed a bit at the thought before turning back to face Pierce. She gave him a smile.

"You're pretty chill. Get it, because its cold out?" Eliza said, blushing as she said it. She'd never been good at flirting. Sometimes she did it by accident, and that's the only time she was a good at it.

Eliza let out a laugh. The joke really was terrible. She absentmindly linked their arms together and let out another laugh. She listened to Pierce's question. She felt her lip tighten up as she thought. Sure she had a lot of friends, but which one were her close ones? She felt her lips relax as she came to a conclusion. She closed her eyes at the thought of her friends. The ones who helped her or are still helping her, the ones that have seen a different side of her, the ones who she'd tell anything to. She gently rested her head on Pierce's shoulder.

"I have a lot of friends, and all of them are so close to me. But then there's those that are just... just closer? My siblings are there. Morgan, Oliver, Catalina. Then there's the ones who aren't my siblings. Alyssa and Derin, they've helped me through some stuff. And then there's you. You were the one who helped me into camp. The person who was there after my dad died." Eliza said, remembering everything from that day. She felt a small tear fall down her face. She blinked back the other ones and smiled as she closed her eyes. "I don't know if I ever said it, but that was the worst-best day of my life. You were my first actual friend..." She admitted shyly.
