POV: Odyssia Exley, Daughter of Thetis
I sat on a large flat rock by the edge of the water, just starring into the water. I hadn't been in a body of water since my father died. It just scares me. Yah, daughter of the ocean goddess is afraid of water now. I mostly just afraid of not coming back up. The internal turmoil of deciding to get in was killing me, I knew I had to. "Come on Ody, you can do it." I told myself. I stood up and slid into the shallow water by the rock. So far so good. I held my breath and went under. I looked around and saw the deep portion of the lake. I saw a little glint of metal over by a good sized rock, and I swam my way down to the rock. I arrived at the rock and reached my hand to grab the object when suddenly the rock fell on to my arm! I squirmed as I felt bones break, the rock was heavier than it looked. I had the urge to scream out but I knew I had to conserve my oxygen. If I wasn't in the water, tears would be flooded down my face. Oh my gosh I'm going to die down here! I blew out of my mouth to create some bubbles, I hope someone would see it!
