Preparations for an Adventure. (CLOSED)

POV: Azima Chahine

Hearing a knock on the door, Azima ceased his current activity to go answer it. He had been studying ancient Greek, something he needed to do to bring out his ability ti cast spells. Telekinesis didn't require any verbal components, and he had gotten quite good at it, but that only had so many applications. Being the leader for the Hecate cabin, Azima tried to answer to visitors when he could. He remembered to strap his celestial bronze tapered staff to his back, just in case he needed to go somewhere with it. When he opened the door, he saw two campers. He was sure he'd seen them around camp, but he wasn't personally associated with either of them.

Looking between them with golden hazel eyes, he cleared his throat and addressed them, an African accent in his voice. "Hello there, um, welcome to the Hecate cabin, is there anyway I can help you two?" Azima noticed that one of them was around his age and height, while the other seemed younger and a bit shorter. Were they from different cabins? Who were they looking for? Azima's first guess would be Ario causing some kind of mischief, and involving these two.

"Fletch?... Yes! I remember, the quest." Fletch was the child of Apollo Azima met in the forest when they were both attacked by a mad satyr. Azima had talked to him about the recent events involving a demigod named Charlie and other campers. Aima had no personal involvement in these events, but after living in amp for a while, he felt obligated to try and help, so Fletch told Azima a bit about quests, and how he could help. Still, Azia didn't recognize these two. Clearing his throat, he addressed them. "Yes, I am Azima, I am the leader of the Hecate cabin. May I ask your names?"

Azima would reason that these two were also involved in the quest somehow, but that reminded Azima of something Fletch mentioned. If here were more than three campers involved in a quest, that usually meant something bad could happen. If Azima were to get involved in this quest along with these campers and Fletch, it is possible that not all of them would make it back. Then again, that was possible even if only three of them went.

"Uh yea what he said, Eli's the name." Then he looked at Luke with a sudden surprise, "You never said we were leaving tomorrow!" Eli said enthusiastically, though he really didn't care he was just messing with his friend, soon enough he'd be on his way to saving his mom...and stop Charlie, that too."So yea what's up I'm the hephaestus cabin leader would you like a snack?" He looked at Luke as if to say 'don't worry it's not steps.'which of course, could be taken as, yes its steps but Eli didn't think about it, he pulled out a piece of cotton candy for him and the other two, "I really like cotton candy, but if you don't want it I'll take!" He said the last part of his comment more towards Luke, but still to azima as well, he was having the time of his life the night before he left, 'oh god I've gotta tell ash...' He thought, but pushed the thought aside, as he told himself that somehow he'd do it later.

I turned to Eli when I realized I hadn't told him what I was initially supposed to.
"Oh crap, did I miss that part?" I asked.
Gods, I'm so absent-minded.
"Oh, well. Might as well tell you both at the same time. Tomorrow morning. We can meet up at the Dining Pavilion." I decided, figuring Fletch wouldn't mind if I called the shots on where we were meeting up, made more sense then waking him up and asking him such a mundane question.
I looked down at Eli's cotton candy and frowned. "Yeah, I've had enough cotton candy for one day, man."
I looked back to Azima when he asked his question, eager to be a bit more helpful after asking both boys to prepare for the quest so last minute.
"No worries, I've been on the same boat as you before when I was on my first quest." I admitted.
It seemed like such a long time ago, but every time, I got the same pre-quest jitters.
"It's a scary thing to leave camp for the first time, but there's a bit of pressure off your shoulders when you know there's people that have your back. If you need anything or have any more questions at any point in the quest, don't be afraid to ask. If it makes you feel better, Fletch and I have been on quests before, so we have some experience in, well, not dying. Eli here's a fortress of his own too, he's good to have on your back."
I grinned at the younger boy next to me, clasping a hand on his shoulder as if I was ready to sell him as a pitch to a company. With the other, I shook Azima's hand.
"The pleasure's mine, Azima." I pursed my lips at Azima's question, trying to think back as to what I usually bring. "Quests tend to be last minute, so there's a lot of light packing involved, really. A few shirts, a couple of pants, any essential weapons or magical items and some food, if you've got any extra cash handy, that would also be useful. We can probably swipe some canned food from the Dining Pavilion tomorrow morning but the more the merrier."
I stretched my arms out as my body groaned in protest, exhaustion getting the better of me.
"If that's everything you need to know, I'll be heading back to my cabin now. It's better to get an early sleep for tomorrow, if you can."

(Sorry been busy a bit and I have eocs next week so ive had a lot of homework )

"Wow luke always forgetting something geez!" Eli joked as he lightly punched his friend, "I mean its not like it matters or anything right?" He said so sarcastically. "But anyways I already had plenty of sleep in the armory," he looked at azima, "Dont ask...so I guess I'll just stay awake if you dont mind." Eli then looked surprised at the complement he had recieved. "Dang it luke I was gonna record the complement but you didnt give me a warning!" He shouted as soft as he could since it was night...or morning, whichever and then sighed, "Oh well ill just have to get another complement outta you I suppose."
