Full Name: Ayaka Delilah Thorpe
Age: 16
Description or Playby: www.nautiljon.com/images/people/00/36/aizawa_rina_13263.jpg?1416034153
Sexuality: Demisexual
Olympian Parent: Ares
Mortal Parent: Amelia Kaitlyn Thorpe
Personality: Ayaka may not look like much, but when you actually talk to her, you're in for a surprise. She's the type to take offence to the suggestion that she ever needs help, and needless to say, she is quite stubborn. She likes to think that she is capable of doing everything herself, and she doesn't need others. This is both a fault, and a strength. Of course when she's in trouble and does need someone's help, but is too stubborn to admit it, it is definitely a fault. Having this stubbornness to never want anyone else's help, though, has allowed her to be quite strong and skilled, so at times she is able to fend for herself. While she may never want to admit the need of other's help, she still does appreciate having companions to talk and train with. Of course, she never has been great with making friends. She's temperamental, stubborn, and she's not great with social cues. If anyone can put up with all that though, she is a fairly...okay girl. Past her temper, she has a soft side, which she often shows through anger as well. When her friends are in danger she won't show distress, she will show fury towards those who are threatening them. She may show most of her emotions through anger, but she does have them, like any one else. She's just not good at...expressing herself.
It is assumed that all children of Ares love fighting, and Ayaka is no exception to this stereotype. You can often find her training with all sorts of weaponry, though her favourite is hand-to-hand combat. She would hate having to depend on having a weapon around to save her, which is why she has always worked hard in her goal to master hand-to-hand combat. Other than hand-to-hand combat, Ayaka enjoys fighting with daggers. She's a fan of the control it gives her and, because of it's small size, the swiftness it allows her to move with. Other than fighting, though, Ayaka has always enjoyed fishing. She finds nothing better than the peacefulness, and the triumph one feels when you reel in a catch. While she often fishes alone, if she finds someone whom's company she truly enjoys, she will bring them along with her.
Ayaka hates to do anything intellectually stimulating, other than battle strategy, of course. But things like puzzles, reading, writing, or anything of the sorts, she has no patience for. She gets frustrated and bored quickly with such tasks, which is why she tends to stay away from children of Athena. She also has a strong dislike towards meek, shy, or obedient people. They just frustrate her, and she always has an urge to scream at them to speak up for themselves. Yes, she tends to get along with other boar-headed people like herself, though enough similarities with another can lead to a personality clash.
History: You could say it was love at first site when Ares and Amelia met, though you'd be lying. In fact, when the two first met they were at a bar, arguing about which sports team was better -Boston Red Soxs, or Chicago Bulls. The conversation had started when Amelia -while watching the two teams play on a screen- made a comment to no one in particular that the Red Soxs were going to beat the Bulls before they could even call for their mothers. Ares, who was conveniently sitting next to her, shot back that she must be mistaken, for the Bulls would beat the Red Sox. They argued for awhile, though eventually the game actually ended and the Bulls one, leaving Amelia feeling pretty embarrassed. The two struck a conversation then, even after the game ended. They stayed at that bar for hours, just talking, and when the bar closed, they started walking the streets. Amelia and Ares dated for only a short month, a fairly happy and care-free month for the two. This all ended when Amelia told Ares that she was pregnant. They had a huge fight, Amelia yelling that she never wanted another child, as she already had one, and that he has to take it. Ares only laughed and told her who he really was -the god of war. The fight ended with Amelia storming out. By the time she got back to the house, he was gone, and she never say him again. So, while their short relationship had been happy, it ended on a less than joyful note.
Ayaka was the child born nine months later, born in the lovely state of Maryland. Her life has pretty much been about the same liking any other demi-god -crappy. Of course her dad wasn't around, because who could imagine the god of war stopping buy with cookies for a school bake sale? No, Ayaka wasn't raised by her father. Suppose that leaves her mother, right? Wrong again. Ayaka's mother was around, though the most she really saw of her was when she was drinking late at night with her pals in the poker room (better known as the kitchen), or passed out during the day on the couch -hung over, of course. No, Ayaka was raised by her half brother -Kazuki. He was fully mortal -never even knew Ayaka wasn't. He raised Ayaka up until she was 15, and he did a pretty good job too, if she can say so herself.
While Ayaka may have loved her brother, she cared nothing of her mother. She thought she was lazy, reckless, and the two were always yelling at each other. Amelia more or less hated Ayaka, mainly because of how much she reminded her of Ares, and she didn't like that. Not to mention, Ayaka's school work was nothing to pin on the fridge either. She's always hated school, and she's pretty much gone by all her life with the lowest marks in her class and barely passing. She never had many friends -mainly because of her temper- and teachers always hated her. Her grades were the most common topic that her and her mother fought about.
That all changed when she was fifteen though, for that's when the monsters started coming. They were out on one of their fishing trips -Kazuki and Ayaka- when the hell hound attacked. It came out of no where, Ayaka barely had time to jump out of the way. Her brother was not so quick. The hell hound easily ripped his body in two, before turning to Ayaka. She had no time to mourn, and her survival instincts kicked in. Alright, she had a fishing pole, a few hooks, some worms, and no fighting experience what so ever. She was ready to die.
Lucky for her -and this is very fortunate- a satyr had been assigned to her. She knew him as that creepy kid at school who sits behind her in pretty much every class. His name, she did not know, but she did know he followed her at a safe distance pretty much everywhere. Luckily, he was following her today. Now, Ayaka couldn't properly say what happened next (mainly because she sort of tripped over a tree root and did a face-plant in the grass), but next thing she knew the creepy kid was panting like he just ran a track, the hell hound was no where to be seen, there was dust all over the place, and -here's the weird thing- the creepy kid had goat legs. Everything was explained to Ayaka by the creepy kid (who's name, she found out, is Carlos). It took them about two months to get to camp half-blood from Maryland -in which time she turned 16- and she now resides there in the Ares cabin after having been claimed a little less than a month after arriving.
