Full Name: Nirvana Marina Sykes, sometimes, she is called "Nirv." As she moved to America she adopted a new name. Leaving her original Korean name behind.

Personality: Nirvana is your average tomboy. She could care less for makeup, high heels, dresses, and tight clothing. She is more of the jeans, converse, and a hoodie type of girl. Not only does she look like a boy to many, she certainly acts like the stereotypic male as well. Nirvana is very sloppy and eats like no tomorrow. Not caring if she gains weight at all, luckily, she keeps fairly active so it makes up for all of the food she consumes.
When angered, Nirvana usually blows out and upward, causing her bangs to fly upward in her fury. She is loud and pretty dense. Life is all fun and games to her and she hardly takes things seriously.  Being the pig she is with food, when around others she is known to take food and will sometimes run away with someone's food in her mouth.
Nirvana is a huge crybaby, crying usually when getting scolded and is known to hold grudges over small matters. Childish is another way to describe as she will mimic others voices when irritated with them, stick out het tongue in sheer annoyance, and will give the notorious silent treatment. Nirvana is also known for being rash and reckless, diving into situations in a matter of seconds without clearly understanding anything. This has caused her to become quite the troublemakers. Especially in times when she'd be in need of money to support her father. She'd have to resort to stealing and pickpocketing.
A good result came out of that though. Her confidence. Talking to anyone isn't really hard for her when others might usually be nervous.

History: At a young age Nirvana had to start working and doing odd jobs for money since her father, Park, was diagnosed with breast cancer, which is now at stage 3. Not wanting her father to work, although he persisted, she took about around two jobs and would sometimes even have three at a time so her father could live as comfortably as possible. Having this many jobs caused her to drop out of school and leave all her friends behind. Literally, she has no friends. Nirvana was too caught up in working to worry about keeping up relationships. At times, the thought of what could happen to her father would cause her to lash out, emotions spilling everywhere, and once, she even got into a fist fight with a mere stranger on the streets. Park was torn from this and was surprised his daughter would do such a thing, this left a permanent mark on their relationship. Their conversations are now short and bare.  Since her long hair got in the way of her work and was just a pure bother she cut it off, resulting in the boyish hairstyle she has now. Thus, making people think of her as boy, her being pretty flat chested doesn't really help either. Many people think she is a boy when they first meet and she doesn't clarify things with them either. She just lets them think she is a boy. It doesn't really bother her. A couple months before she would leave for America, her father and her had a fight which ended in Nirvana slapping her own father. Realizing she couldn't control her feelings, she knew it would be best to leave. Nirvana called up an Uncle she had in America and left not long after. Nirvana still continues to send money to her father and always carries a picture of him in her pocket.
Not wanting to let her feelings to get the best of her again, she put all feelings under lock and key so to speak. Now, she lives in the state of Minnesota with her Uncle. Her Uncle was the one that actually told her about her mother, which, her father never spoke of.
Demeter and Park had met at one of the local parks, what she was doing in Seoul, South Korea, her Uncle had no idea. But on that day, her father was doing some gardening for the park. Demeter took interest and Nirvana's father had even asked her for a hand. Demeter was taken aback but helped anyways, she, supposedly, really liked how bold he was. Going around without a care or worry in the world what anyone else thought.
Nirvana's Uncle, Hyun woo-min, or just Henry, then preceded to tell her about Camp Half-Blood, recommending going. When in actuality, she was going to be forced to go either way.
