POV: Quintyn Avilov
_____________________________
Quintyn stood at the base of the climbing wall, staring at the large structure with intensity circulating in her stormy grey eyes. Two years at this camp and she hadn't been able to best the deadly rock wall with the ease she felt she should be able to. This fact ate the stubborn daughter of Athena up every time she made eye contact with the area.
Quintyn was determined to scale the rock climbing wall graciously and quickly this time. She had left her cabin with her hair pulled back into a ponytail to keep from distracting her, and clothes she knew wouldn't constrict her. With her goal wrapped around her mind, she now faced her mission with a look of determination etched onto her sharp features.
She would have been completely alone if it weren't for a cabin of Demigods climbing the rock wall for their afternoon activity. She didn't mind so much, as now she could have an audience when she succeeded in her own personal operation.
With a deep breath in, and a long steady exhale, Quintyn chose the first rock she would use to hoist herself up onto the rock wall. Though her heart began to pound with the slight sense of anxiety as she remembered all of her other dangerously failed attempts at climbing the wall, Quintyn swallowed her fear before it could get the best of her and used her upper body strength to lift herself onto the structure.
Now that she was on it, there was no going back. Quintyn was not someone who backed down from a challenge, especially if it was her challenging herself. She kept her diligent eyes sharp, using her brain to analyze every move she would make before she made it.
Quintyn found a close by rock jutting out from the wall to place her right foot on, then using that as leverage, hoisted herself up to grab another rock with her left hand. The rumbling of the climbing wall indicated the threat of falling rocks as she advanced her way up to her destination. Her body began to grow hot and sweaty as the sizzling lava grew closer and closer to her body pressed up against the building. She forced herself to move quicker, wanting to be as far away from the hazardous lava.
While worrying about the lava, Quintyn almost didn't have time to think about the rocks that had begun plummeting towards her. She narrowly dodged one by swinging her weight to the side so violently that she collided with the wall, the right side of her body colliding with the many rocks she could use to her advantage to climb. Quintyn hissed with the impact, cursing herself for forgetting to pay attention to the falling debris above. When the Daughter of Athena righted herself, she continued up the wall at as quick a pace as she could allow. This was going to be no easy feat, and she knew it.
