The Forsaken Camp (CLOSED)

I was still amazed to be on a quest. But I knew it was serious thing. I knew I didn't have a major part in this hole adventure or did I ? I would only be sure at the end. This was the first time I rode in a car. I guess Voodoo sorcerers don't ride in cars. As Angus started the car, I realized he was not human. I looked at the back of his head, it was covered in multiple eyes as were his hands and all his body. From where I sat, middle seat in the back, I could see the road. It slivered threw the pine trees lit by the moon. I loved i when it was night. Night. That was my mum, Nyx or Night. I was her demigod son. Then I thought about my dad : he had died because of a hord of monsters that had tracked me down. I first I thought it had been Charlie who had somehow brainwahed these monsters to kill me but Luke had ersed this idea of my mind. Whoever had created these monsters needed to die, I thought. And I knew this quest will help me in this revenge. I touched my mask with my hand and said "I Wonder what's concealed in this."

I fell asleep during the ride to Brooklyn. I hadn't meant to sleep as heavily as I did. I only wanted to close my eyes, but I guess my body didn't agree. I didn't dream, which was odd because dreams seemed to be quite significant when it came to demigods. Maybe I had dreamed and I just didn't remember it. I was woken by a jerk of the van as it went over a pothole. It was morning now, and Argus had already made his strawberry delivery. I was a heavy sleeper when I wanted to be. My eyes adjusted with slight difficulty, the morning sun making them water and sting.
"Morning all," I grunted, re-positioning myself so that my back was straight. I looked out the window to see where we were. It took me a moment, but after I had taken in some of my surroundings, I knew exactly where we were. We were so close to my fathers volvo dealership. In less than five minutes we would be pulling into the parking lot and I would be seeing my dad again. Excitement hit me like a car hits roadkill, and I was suddenly awake. That might have been the quickest time it had ever taken me to start functioning perfectly so soon after waking up. Along with the excitement came nervousness, like what the driver of the car feels when he hits the roadkill. What would he have to say to me? I got up and left him without even a note. My father and I had never been known to fight. We understood each other like we shared a mind. But if it was me and my daughter randomly left me in the middle of the day, I would yell. We pulled up into the car park of the dealership. We got out of the van. Roxy thanked Argus for us, and I led the three of them into the door. When you walked in, the first thing you saw were cars. Lots and lots of shiny new cars. A black Volvo was being polished by a man in a janitors suit. My eyes lit up at the sight of the bald headed old man.
"Joey!" I called out in excitement. He looked up, looking confused, until he realized it was me.
"Hey, Quintyn!" He replied, rushing over. We slapped our hands together and did our handshake we had created when I was younger. Joey had taken care of me when my dad had brought me here as a kid. I turned to Roxy, Leslie and Zack.
"These are my friends," I said to him. He looked them over and looked at me with his eyebrows raised.
"Interesting bunch," he said, his eyes trailing to Zack. "But then again, who am I to judge the fashion choices of you young people?" He asked with a casual shrug. I let out a small sigh of relief. Joey was good for not judging you. I was glad he didn't react to Zacks mask. I hoped my dad would be the same.
"Do you know where my dad is?" I asked him hopefully. Joey gave me a sweet smile, his rosy wrinkled cheeks seemed like they lit up the room.
"In his office," Joey said. "He's been missing you." A pang of guilt shot through me, but I thanked Joey and led the others to my dads office. It was the last one at the very end of the dealership, being the owner, it was also the biggest. The door was open, I looked at him before I announced my arrival. He scratched his scruffy beard with one hand, keeping his dark brown eyes fixed on a stack of papers. I coughed to get his attention, as I always did when he didn't know I was there. He looked up at me and his eyes grew wide.
"Quinty?" He asked in his thick Russian accent as if he thought I was a ghost. I held out my arms and smirked.
"In the flesh," I answered, my own Russian accent curling over my tongue, as it did when I heard his. He quickly got up from his desk and wrapped me in a tight hug. I hugged him back, grateful to finally see him again. When we broke, he looked at me with a large smile, as if wondering what to say first. His eyes caught the group of teenagers standing behind me.
"Who're they?" He asked. I turned to them and introduced them.
"Some friends I met at camp," I said. He nodded slowly.
"And... what are you all doing here?" He asked. "Not that I'm not incredibly happy to see you." He added quickly, putting both hands on my shoulders. I filled him in on the quest, leaving no details out. I didn't think it would worry him that much. I knew he knew I was capable of handling myself. After all, he had taught me everything I know.
"So, in short," I continued. "We need a car." My dad smiled, his dark eyes lighting up.
"Of course," he said, giving the other three a friendly smile as well. "You can choose any one in the lot... On the condition that Quintyn is the one who drives." He said. I knew I'd be the only one he trusted with the car. I wanted to stay and talk to my dad more, tell him about camp, and ask him about Athena. I bit my lip in thought.
"You guys go ahead and choose the car," I said, looking at the three of them. "I'm going to stay and talk to my dad a bit. Come get me when you're ready to go."

I said goodbye to Mr. Avilov and walked out with Zack and Roxy. My eyes instantly darted to a Black Mini SUV. I could amplify it to be safer for Half-Bloods. "That one." I said pointing to the Mini SUV. I didn't know alot about Quintyn but she seemed like she might like it and if not my eyes was set on the car I wanted, a Black Lamborghini Aventador. I love cars they are so cool to look at and I loved passing my time studying them. When my and my mom were in Europe I went to a mechanical school that my mom let me go to and I learned so much, it was the first school I almost made the whole year at but then one of the other Student told me I was doing it wrong and I said I wasn't and I had never had but it turned out I was and I kinda.. sent the kid to the hospital. This brought back bad memories to my head and I tried to shake them out, I was probably letting them get to my face so I turned it away from them acting like I was looking at another car. I looked back after my face cleared up and waited for the answer to which car we should take.

Seeing my dad again and talking to him was refreshing. I had been so paranoid and guilty about leaving without him, but he had told me he'd gotten a letter from Chiron, and that he had been preparing himself for that day since the moment Athena delivered me to him
"I knew you'd take care of yourself," he said, giving me his usual sweet smile. "Tell Casper he did a good job when you get back." I told him I would, and we started talking about stupid little things, like old times. A loud boom interrupted my chat with my father, bringing us both to full alert mode. He and I exchanged a glance as we made our way out of his office and down the hall to the lot of cars. I noticed Zack in a battle position, his machete out in a defensive way. Roxy sat in a Mercedes clutching the wheel tensely.
"Tell me one of you didn't crash a car," I said. I looked at Roxy, and she shook her head. Her hazel eyes filled with dread, like she almost wished one of them had crashed a car. "Then what was that-" I was interrupted again, but this time, the interruption answered my question. I looked outside the large glass windows to see a very large, brutish man. He wore a dark hood over his face. It was tattered and ripped, like he was off the streets. He carried a large stick with him, like a block of wood. He paced around, looking underneath and inside cars that were on display outside. I glanced up at my dad, but he just stared at the figure outside. The man let out a loud yell, and hit one of the cars with his stick. For a moment, the stick turned into something that looked more like a club, and I realized that monsters were already catching onto our demigod scent.
"Shit," I muttered.
"Get behind a car, everyone," my dad said sternly ushering the three of us behind the shelter of a grey Chrysler. I poked my head up and looked through the front window of the car. The mist was clearing now that I knew the guy couldn't be trusted. He was definitely carrying a club. He ripped his hood off in frustration as he paced violently up and down the rows of cars, smashing their hoods with his club. He looked looked in my direction, and I ducked down. I was given just enough time to notice he only had one eye on his forhead.
"Tell me he just wants to be friends," I said in a hushed voice. I looked at Roxy. "What is it?" I asked. I knew it was a cyclops, I just wanted to know more about him. I thought Roxy would probably know a lot more about mythological creatures than I did. Suddenly there was a loud crash as the windows were shattered. I brought out my celestial bronze sword, which didn't have a name yet, and gripped the hilt tightly. I guessed it didn't want to be friends.

I jumped from my spot over to the Chrysler with the others. I landed on my feet causing a light thud that only the surrounding group could hear. I covered my ears at the thudding of the cars being smashed.
I am going to come back and fix the cars after the quest, I decided quickly because I did need to get out of the camp for a bit and Mr. Avilov was doing us good by lending us a car. I peered over car as Buffy, or as I so nicknamed him, smashed the glass in. I glinted at the one eye in the monsters head, oh great a Cyclops. My eyes went to Mr. Avilov as he went to meet with the huge monster. I was really suprised, Quintyn's dad had to have some courage to go up against the Cyclops. I was half paying attention to what they were talking about because my mind was racing with plans. I couldn't come up with anything, plans were the job of Athena kids. I looked over to Roxy, I saw that she was looking at me waiting for me to give orders. I peered over the top of the car and looked what was around us. Cars, Cars and More Cars. With some lifts... Hm. "Guys come here." I pulled them all in. "This is what we are going to do. Zack while Mr. Avilov is Distracting Buffy can you use some Nyx powers to make it dark or blind Buffy? Then Roxy will go Left and Quintyn Right dodging in between cars for cover when you get close enough Roxy will throw a vile on Buffy and Quintyn will attack from the other side. I will get on the lift while Buffy is blinded and raise it up then wait for Roxy and Quintyn then when he is weak ill send him back to the Underworld." I said very very quielty. I hoped they agreed because the next thing I said was, "Zack, Roxy, Quintyn, wait for my signal which will be a cross with my arms." I looked around and I moved to my spot, I sure hoped Mr. Avilov can keep him at Par for the time needed. My eyes wandered from belwo the car to above it and I knew it was time. "Move out." It was go time.

I exchanged a glance with Roxy before moving out. She gave me a nod, and I returned it with one of my own. I rolled out from behind the car we were hiding from and keeping low I split to the right, like Leslie had explained. My number one priority currently was to keep Roxy, and my defenseless father safe, so I prayed to the gods for Leslie's sake her plan would work. My father I wasn't as worried about, I had seen him run his mouth so expertly Russian Mafia could have been conned by him. I took comfort in the fact that Roxy knew what to do with the poison, I had never seen her fight, I had no idea what she was capable of. I ducked behind a navy blue convertible, listening to the sound of my dads voice.
"This one would suit you!" He said enthusiastically. I could picture him with his arms out motioning to a car with a wide and welcoming smile every customer seemed to love.
"Oh, yeah?" I heard the brutish voice of the Cyclops say. He sounded skeptic.
"It's large and very durable, just like you," my father explained. I slipped out from behind the blue car and moved further to the right, bringing myself a little bit closer to the leg of the Cyclopse. The Cyclops looked pleased, like he was flattered.
"It can crush any terrain, I think it's strength is it's most admirable trait," my father went on. I looked over the back of the car I was hiding behind to see the Cyclops circling a Chevy pickup truck with a satisfied expression. The dumbass had forgotten all about the demigods he'd been hunting. I could see two more cars that would keep me hidden in the meantime Zack worked his Nyx magic. I ducked behind another pickup truck, a red Dodge. I decided, now that I was closer, that it would be best to keep very well hidden. I slipped underneath the car and started to army crawl my way to the last car I could. I knew the Cyclops was too tall to see underneath the cars, and I didn't want to risk him seeing me hiding behind the side of one. When I got to the front of the car, I slipped out quietly and crawled under the last car. I made sure it would be easy for me to get out from underneath quickly. My dad was doing a good job of keeping up his bullshit distraction. This was what he lived for, I knew it. He loved to trick people. He seemed happy, like the smile he was wearing for the cyclops was genuine. I looked around, hoping to spot the position Roxy was in.

I looked as Zack did his thing and Quintyn and Roxy darted off. I slipped my way infront of the car we were at. I stepped behind a green caddilac and bent down. I slipped between the car and crawled under it. I jumped up and hid behind the car. I looked over to Quintyn and Roxy and made a cross with my arms and they started. I watched as they started then I made my move. I ran up the lift. I didn't even bother raising it I just climbed up it. I watched as Roxy threw her viale into the eyes of Buffy and watched Quintyn run up with her sword and start attacking him. "Zack! Get Quintyn's dad out of here!" I screamed and watched as he ran up to Quintyn's dad and started pulling him away. My eyes darted for something to do. I knew that this one attack wasn't enough to send him back down and needed more. I saw a convenient car that was infront of Buffy. I raced down form my perch as Quintyn and Roxy did there thing. I skipped over to the back of the pink car I had found. I started pushing it but it was no luck. I closed my eyes for maybe half a second and prayed with all my soul to me father for strength. I opened my eyes and started pushing again and it only made about half an inch move. I looked over to how the others were doing and it didn't look the best even though we had just started. I thought if maybe Zack could help me? I looked around me to see where Zack was and couldn't see him. Maybe he was explaining to Mr. Avilov the plan in a corner somewhere? It was no use, I wouldn't be able to move it. I took out my sword and looked at Buffy. I ran up to him a sliced down his legs with Χάρος. I backed up, not because I couldn't fight the Cyclops, but because I wanted to be nice. It was hard being the Quest Leader with so much responsibility of the group and sometimes you just had to back down but take Charge when needed. I was beginning to understand this position I was given but not to it's full potential yet. I looked at me team and got ready to do something if I was needed but despite his size, the Cyclops was an easy kill.
