Full Name:Apollina Eleutherios
Age:15(2279)
Description or Playby: Vicky Papadopoulou
Apollina is slim, and weighs about 110 or so pounds. She is 5'5 and has long brown hair. Her hair is curly and goes past her shoulder blades. She normally always has her hair down, unless she has to put it up for some reason such as a party. She has olive colored skin, even though she's never really been allowed outside long enough to get a tan. Apollina has dark brown eyes that almost seem black at time. She's very slim, and doesn't have to watch what she eats. Apollina has a tiny scar on the palm of her hand from accidentally cutting herself when she was younger, helping her mother prepare dinner. It is about half an inch long, but not deep.
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Olympian Parent: Apollo
Mortal Parent: Theophania Palaiokostas [Deceased]
Personality: Apollina likes horses and children. She also likes wine, cooking, sewing, and her mother and sisters. She doesn't like her husband or any of her male relatives. She dislikes any enemies of Athens, and she especially dislikes her husband's various lovers and mistresses. Apollina hates wars and Sparta, mostly because Sparta's an enemy of Athens but also because their women get a lot more freedom.
Apollina takes orders from anyone growing up in a society where women were to be seen and not heard. They weren't expected to take part in conversations except with their husband and family, and Apollina was the prime example of that. She took orders, and did whatever her husband and other males in her family told her to do, fearing punishment if she refused. Apollina is someone anyone can talk to and not be judged by her. She loves to cook and loves children though she can get somewhat bored by the normal chores women were expected to do back in her time. Now, though, she will have a chance to become an entirely different person not dependent on a husband for anything if she doesn't wish to be, and she can have her own views and speak her mind instead of holding her tongue.
History: Apollina Palaiokostas was born in the times of Ancient Greece. She was born at the beginning of the First Pelopponesian War. She was the daughter of Apollo and a women from Athens who was married to a high ranking military officer. She grew up with the knowledge of gods and demigods but didn't know that she was one. She grew up with many siblings and was one of the youngest.
At 14, she was married and became Apollina Eleutherios. She disliked her husband but was higher up than most Grecian wives were in this time. She was more like a servant than a wife, and got used to being punished for doing something wrong. Her husband had actually caused her to lose her child and she grew to resent him.
She was treated as a normal wife; take care of the children, even though they weren't hers, care for the husband, take care of the house, cook, sew, and the other normal duties that a woman would be expected to know how to do.
When she was 15, Zeus became aware of her existence and took on the persona of her husband and took her to the Lotus Casino where he left her. Her husband and family thought that she died and moved on with their lives; her husband married another woman and she was stuck in the Lotus Casino for centuries.
Finally, Apollo managed to send someone to get Apollina out of the Lotus Casino. She was taken out of the trap and suddenly was in an entirely different world with no language to communicate in and no idea of what was going on. The demigod who got her out spoke very poor Ancient Greek but managed to get her to Camp Half-Blood somewhat safe.
Weapons: None yet
Abilities: Photokinesis; doesn't know that she has it yet. It's very weak and can make her faint if she uses it too often, but the more she uses it, the more powerful her photokinesis will be and soon she'll be able to use it for long amounts of time without passing out.
Apollina has ADHD and dyslexia, although she's unaware that she's dyslexic. She finds it hard to sit or stand still, and is constantly moving, even if it means doing her hair. She's naturally gifted with instruments, and can curse people to rhyme if she so wishes, although she most likely would never curse someone...even if it would wear off in a couple of hours.
