Personality: Ali'ikai is very generous and lives by the motto, "it's better to give than to take." She tries her best to be kind and tries her best to avoid fights as well as arguments. There is a reason behind this: she is afraid of becoming too much like her mother. Kymopoleia, being the goddess of violent sea storms, loves the idea of being feared. She loves the power it gives her, and Ali'ikai hates this about her mother. Despite her wishes though, she has this trait in common with her mother. There has been too many occasions though in which this trait is shown, causing Ally to later try her best to avoid conflict. Her fatal flaw is ambition. If Ally were to truely let this dark side of her personality overcome her, she would honestly be set out for world domination. (although it is highly unlikely that she would ever reach her goal)
Her hobbies include painting, surfing, and singing. When she visits her father in the summer, they normally take small surfing trips to other parts of the country. She has a deep love for the ocean and all it's creatures, causing her to want to be a marine biologist someday, just like her father. You can often find her in the arts and crafts area making some type of painting. (Watercolor is her favorite)
She has one older half-sibling, whom she has never met in person but has heard of and seen pictures of. She gets along fine with her father and tries to visit him at least once during the summer. She loves her mother, but holds a grudge about her leaving her father completely heart-broken, and still doesn't understand why she can't visit every once in a while.
History: Jake, her father is a marine biologist. He and his team were working out at sea, near Hawaii, studing humpback whales when they were caught in a really bad storm, caused by Kymopoleia. However, she took pity on them and decided to let them live, thus stopping the storm. She had particularly taken a liking to Jake. A while after the storm incident, Kym decided to meet Jake in person. She disguised herself as another marine biologist and offered to help him with his research. He accepted and the two grew close. After a couple months or so, Ali'ikai was born. Kym stayed with Jake and Ally for a year before leaving. She was able to stay for this short period mainly because she didn't have to return back to Olympus or anything as she was a pretty much forgotten goddess. However, she did leave because she was afraid of her husband, Briares, finding out and was scared he would cause potential harm to Jake and Ally. Jake raised Ally on his own, of course, and taught her everything she knows about the ocean. When Ally turned 14, her father told her the truth about her mother and what she really is. (Kym had spoken to Jake years before about all this) Ally was completely astonished, but reluctantly accepted the truth because her father was so serious while explaining this to her. He didn't seem to be joking. Jake decided to send Ally to Camp Halfblood, which is where she now lives. She refuses to call it home however and often states that Hawaii is and always will be home to her. Despite this though, Camp Halfblood does have a special place in her heart.
As far as her mother though, she talks to her everyday by the beach. (not in person, but rather in her head) Kym, unlike most olympian parents, sends small signs to let Jake and Ally know she's watching over them which can be heartbreaking for the two at times. For example, she once appeared to Ally while she was sitting by the beach. Kym, in her marine biologist form, sat down by Ally and started asking her about Camp. Ally was confused by the stranger talking to her, as she didn't have any memory of what her mother looked like, but she remembered what her father said when describing her. She slowly grew comfortable enough to talk and the two chatted for a bit before Kym had to leave. "Will I ever see you again?" Ally asked. "Perhaps." Kym answered before vanishing into a gush of wind. That was the last she ever saw of her mother, and she continues to hold on to the hope that she'll see her again.
Weapons: A small braided bracelet. Among the charms is a ship's wheel. The wheel turns into a full-size replica of her mother's disk, the only difference being that her's is a ship's wheel and her mother's is an actuall disk. She often uses it as a shield, but sometimes as a weapon because the edges of it are sharp. Other than that, she uses a bronze sword
Abilities: Hydrokinesis, small power over the air (to create mini storms and such), can predict ocean storms
