Gender: Male
Godly Parent: Nyx
Mortal Parent: Unknown
Sexuality: Straight
Age: Probably 17
Birthday: December 21, the darkest day of the year.
PlayBy: Matt Lanter and Clothes (anime) .
Appearance: Has brilliant blue eyes, sloppy black hair, 6' 1" tall, averagely muscular, but is stronger than he looks. Wears black leather armor with partial Stygian iron armor over it (the breastplate is skeletal) when training or in combat. Also wears a hooded cloak of pure darkness. Only takes his hood down during night time or when he is talking to someone. Lately he has been wearing a white and black jacket with a black t-shirt (anime) and torn blue jeans, so he doesn't cause a commotion and start hearing, "AHHH! THE GRIM REAPER!!" He wears the hooded cloak with his normal clothes also, in order to shield his eyes from the sun, since he isn't used to it.
Personality: Serious, adventurous, vengeful, secluded, hardworking, and determined. On the outside Ater seems dark and up to no good, but on the inside he really cares and enjoys helping people. He also has a sense of humor that you will only see if you are actually interested in talking to him. Ater can be often found in one of three places: the arena or forest during the day or the roof of the Nyx cabin staring out into the night. He rarely regrets any decision he makes unless he hurts someone. Tends to not follow the rules. Sleeps only during dawn. Socialization with demigods is different for him since he has had no contact with people his age ever. Has ADHD and a little bit of Dyslexia. Ater only fears hurting innocence, getting disapproval from his mother, and going back to Tartarus.

-Invisibility
-Ability to walk and be completely quiet
-Night Vision: ability to see in the dark
-Night empowerment- Stronger, faster, and has heightened senses at night.

Fatal Flaw: Willing to any dangerous, impossible, and/or unruly task if it is needed to be done.
History: Ater has no recollection of his father or any life outside of Tartarus. All he knows is that he was born on December 21st and has lived in the Mansion of the Night. He was his mother's servant, which really meant doing all the really boring jobs and the almost impossible ones no one else wanted to do. The only thing he ever ate/drank was the River Phlegethon, quite a trek from the Mansion of Night but it kept him alive. It would heal him, provide him with enough nurishment to let him grow, and quench his thirst and hunger for a while. After the first few trips to the river, Nyx apparently felt "sympathetic" and gave Ater a flask that was transdimensionaly linked to the Phlegethon. This meant it fills with the fire and does so five times a day after being drank. The only reason he was able to live in the mansion was he is able to see it, which really isn't a good thing. The horrors inside the Mansion are indescribable and due to this he has grown obsolete to fear. If he ever did anything wrong he got a 10 minute sentence to bathing in the in the River Acheron, the River of Pain. It reminds him of every pain he experienced and terrible deed he has done. The River would normally rip away a person's physical existence, but as a punishment, Nyx made you live through it. Every year he spent in Tartarus he knew he had to get away. On his downtime, he would search for every possible way to get out. All he could figure out was it had to be the Doors of Death. He then went to the Temple of Death every time he could and prayed to Thanatos, the god of Death and his step-brother, to appear. On his final trip, which was like the millionth time he went, Thanatos appeared. Ater then asked Thanatos where he could find the Doors of Death and in return he offered that when he died he would serve him rather than go to the Underworld. He accepted the terms, and to ensure Ater made it out to die eventually he transported him directly to the Doors of Death. The Doors were a elevator and the button to send the person up had to be held by someone on the outside, which Thanatos gladly held for his future servant. After he arrived in the mortal world, he quickly made his way out of the House of Hades and made his way to a the nearest city. There he he struggled to learn about modern society due to his dark appearance, so he learned by observing while invisible. As soon as he learned how to travel to other countries he snuck on board a plane to New York. He was going to New your because Thanatos had mentioned a camp for demigods that he should go to. He also mentioned it was on Long Island. So when he arrived in New York he walked to Long Island. He walked and walked until he finally arrived to a hill overlooking a valley with a collection of various structures. His entrance to camp was quite hostile, but hey when a guy that looks straight from Hell walks up to your camp, I'd be hostile too. He never was formally claimed at camp for he already knew he was Nyx's son. There he found out he has a few brothers, who were lucky enough to live in the mortal world during their childhoods.
Later, Ater constructed the Nyx Cabin, but wouldn't have been able too without the help of his friends, fellow campers, and one of his step-brothers. He also made amends with his mother, discovering she cares and loves him.
