POV: Shiloh Kaiser
GODS was I BORED. To think you could even be bored in a place like this. It seemed kind of impossible. Well, when you knew barely anyone and didn't know the first thing about handling weapons or any of the extreme sports they had, it could be boring.
I found myself wandering around the camp with the sun beating down on my shoulders, which were barely protected by the straps of my loose fitting, and low-cut white tank top. If I happened to get burned, I was totally gonna end up with weird tan lines, and I was not cool with that.
I looked around, seeing people all around me socializing made me so desperate for human interaction that I ended up considering going to find Kaiser. Man, I was so not good at being alone.
I figured if he was anywhere it would be the Hermes Cabin where we had been staying while our mother procrastinated on letting it be known we were her kids. If he wasn't there he was probably some other place he always quietly stalked off to and kept a secret from pretty much everybody.
I made my way from the open clearing I had been walking on to the Hermes Cabin. I was actually closer than I thought, which was both a relief and a trip to me. As much as I was getting used to my surroundings and directions, I was still super unfamiliar with how far things were from each other. Sometimes I would picture something a lot closer than it was, which would result in my getting lost because of second guessing myself and turning a different way. Other times, things that were close seemed farther away and it almost felt like I had time-traveled. Hey, maybe that was the cool demigod power I had. Was there even a Goddess of Time Travel?
I jogged up the steps of the rickety cabin and wrapped my hand around the gross and old looking door knob. I could not understand how this camp had Golden Cabins and ones with beautiful displays of Flowers, yet they couldn't be assed to clean this one up a bit. I wondered what Hermes had done to get the short end of THAT stick.
Pushing away my thoughts I opened the door, which came to a surprisingly abrupt stop as a pile of clothes got lodged under the crack. I looked down, and then up at the room, which looked like a tornado had hit it.
"What in the ever loving fuck," I breathed. Had someone let a Pegasus in here or something? I kicked the pile of clothes away from the door and cleared a space to walk into. There were clothes and personal belongings strewn EVERYWHERE. Drawers were wide open, mattresses overturned. It was complete chaos to say the least.
As I stood there, incredibly confused and slightly afraid that some mythical animal was going to charge me, I heard rustling towards the back of the cabin. I froze in my spot. That was not something that made my animal suspicion less terrifying to me. I held the door knob, ready to open the door and let loose a wild animal into camp if need be, as I took a deep breath in.
"Hello?" I called out. The rustling stopped and my muscles tensed. What greeted me though, was definitely not a wild animal. I head popped up from behind and overturned mattress. An attractive head. A familiar, attractive head. I didn't know his name, but I knew he lived here. I had only been here for a couple days and I tried to only be in the dingy cabin when I slept. I tried not to let the pleased smile I felt coming on cross my face, this guy looked pretty intensely worried about something.
The boy had an exasperated expression reflecting on his face, his spikey hair stuck up in all different directions. Still, he managed to rock the whole "desperate and worried" look.
"Um... Lose a-um- what are those things called? Drachmies? Drachma's! Lose a Drachma?" I asked, my loss of the word completely ruining my joke, which I had hoped would clear the air.
