Full name: Peyton Elizabeth King
Age:15
Description or Playby: Selena Gomez
Sexuality: Bisexual
Olympian Parent: Hecate
Mortal Parent: John King
Personality: Peyton is like every other typical teenager, she is lazy. If there is an option between doing the right thing or doing the lazy thing, Peyton would choose the lazy way everytime. This attitude tends to make things backfire, and then make her have to use more effort in the end to fix her problems. She is usually unintentionally mean to people, used to just speaking her mind about things, which is another way that she finds herself in trouble. If you haven't caught the point yet, she gets in trouble A LOT.
Despite all her flaws, Peyton is a caring individual. Once you crack her walls and see what's hidden beneath it all, you'll see a girl who is willing to die for those she loves. The only things that Peyton ever takes seriously and doesn't slack on is magic and photography. Those things are her true loves, and she spends all her free time doing one or the other.
History: There isn't really much to say about Peyton's life. She grew up New York, New York, with her father John King. John works as an appraiser at none other than the Jeffersonian Museum, when new items are brought in, he is the one that inspects them and decides their worth and takes care of each item. This job is how he was introduced to Hecate, one day ancient relics from Egypt were brought in. They were amulets of power, charmed by none other than Hecate herself. While inspecting these items, Hecate stormed into his office demanding for the amulets that were rightfully hers. Not really having the authority to hand over the museum's property, John wouldn't hand them over, and Hecate instantly was angry with them. She turned the chair he was sitting on into a hostile dog expecting him to run away in fear, but instead John was ecstatic about the transformation and marveled at Hecate's power.
Curious about the crazy human, Hecate changed the dog back and asked him why he wasn't afraid of her, and John didn't really have an answer for her. With that she left, but not for long. This human sparked something in her, so each day she returned and they would talk. Talking led to more and they shared information with each other, where each other was born, who each other was, and eventually talking led to more. That's how Peyton was born. Shortly after Peyton was born, Hecate gifted John with the gift of sight through the mist so he could marvel in the world that Peyton and her could see. This gift instantly became a curse, everything became a monster out to get him and the curiosity that she loved was gone.
Realizing her mistake, Hecate took away the gift, but it didn't really change anything. Now John knew what was in the world and he would do anything to keep his daughter safe from it. Telling Hecate never to come back, Hecate reluctantly agreed not wanting to ruin her love's life anymore, John and Peyton began a normal life. Peyton was home schooled her whole life, and was given everything she ever wanted. Which led to her lazy attitude. She was allowed to study everything her heart desired, except for mythology and wicca. Her father feared that by letting her learn about that, that she would trigger something and monsters would come for them. But not letting her study those things made her want to study it more, so she would sneak off to occult stores and read to her heart's content about witch craft and greek mythology. And little to Peyton's knowledge, the woman who was behind the counter suggesting each book was Hecate herself, watching over her daughter.
Months went by of this secret study and Peyton went past reading to actually practicing. The spells to her surprise, at first, actually worked. She could turn apples into oranges, make things levitate, pull rabbits from a hat. One day, John walked into the house and caught Peyton practicing and not wanting the monster to come after him, he selfishly decided to kick Peyton out. Grabbing her by her hair, and screaming about what a disgrace she was, John literally dragged her out of the house and left her crying on the door step. She wasn't daddy's little girl anymore.
Having nowhere to go, Peyton went to the occult store and cried to the woman who helped crave her hunger for knowledge. The woman brushed back Peyton's hair and smiled at the girl, without a word she took her by the hand and led her out the door and somehow they were in a summer camp. There she led her to the big house where Chiron and Mr. D were waiting and they welcomed who they said was Hecate herself in and Peyton. There Hecate sat down with Peyton and told her the truth and how proud she was of her daughter when it came to the craft. She then explained that this was Peyton's new home and that Hecate, all though it broke her heart, couldn't be there for her. The Gods had to remain seperate from their children. Peyton nodded reluctantly and accepted the truth of it all. From there she went to her cabin and said good bye to her old life and said hello to her new life, and she's lived here for the past three years.
